Fabulous! That's word is not enough to describe how delicious their crab and crawfish boils were. I was floored at the perfect level of heat and spices as well as the friendly service provided by restaurant staff.The restroom left alot to be desired, but this can be easily fixed by the management staff.Their onion rings were hot and delicious. And the kids enjoyed their corn dogs.
Avoid late night weekends if you can. Food flavors take a dive because of it being potentially packed. The good part of going is that you might get extra food. The cooks seem to cook big portions to appease the crowd. Ended up with appetizers and meals I didn't ask for, but was on the house. If you go before late night or weekdays it's great. ?
Cute little spot. You can tell it's been there a while. Customer service was good. Of course I got boiled crawfish which was good, not great but I enjoyed it.
After a day of skating and jumping at Spartans wit the kids they wanted crawfish of course. Being that my 2 nieces were in from Kansas my brother (their dad) let them plan out our day. 4/23/22 was all about them. Full of love and excitement. UNTIL We made it to Coney Island Riverside in Monroe. We get there about 8:50pm take a seat outside under the tent about 2 mins of sittin at the table a woman tell us to have a seat on tje other side she closed her section for tonight... ok thats fine So we go to another section we sit, we wait, we see others gettin their orders taken NO1 come to us. An older guy starts cleaning a table directly in front of us NO acknowledgement at all.. Someone passes by tell is some will be with us. 5 mins later sum1 comes and tell us they closed their section for the night. No1 is taking our orders. My sis in law calls inside to ask are they closing they tell her No so she explains how long we have been there and tells them what was being told to us. My brother is upset and walks to his car so his kids wont see his expressions because all we wanted to do was end the night right with the kids. Someone later comes and apologize then tell us she will find Alice and have her come after the 2 calls in and waiters passing us not takin our orders my sis in law had enough and left. We tell the kids to come on we have to find somewhere else to go because they are closing (we didnt want to ruin the kids night and tell them no1 wanted to take our orders) as everyone is leavin people looking and starring at us someone from the inside comes out an apologize. Last night made me look at Coney Island different. Sadly we wont be spending our money there any more. Between the 4 of us adults who ever the waiter would have been would have gotten a great tip.. sad to say we didnt have crawfish and ended the night at Raisin Canes where they had NO problem lettin us sit and serve us.
Great place for crawfish when you catch them at the right time. The flavor profile is either fabulous or just not there. I love it when I get a good batch so I'm willing to play a little crawfish roulette.
When I visit Louisiana, the seafood here is what I expect to eat! The crawfish boil was amazing (which my party had as an Appetizer) and the crawfish ettoufee was absolutely fantastic.
A perfect little dive, we went for lunch and I have to say that it really was some of the best boiled shrimp that I have ever had. The kicked up shrimp appetizer is also worthy. It's a dive in every sense of the word so do keep that in mind.
On the way back from Texas and heading to North Carolina, stopped here for the BEST cajun crawfish not far from I-20 in Monroe, LA. Riverside did not disappoint! Their style is easy going, and the service was fast and friendly along with smiles. Best crawfish! ?
Best place love the live music. Loved the crawfish. It was kind of hard to get the waitresses attention when we were ready to order tho.
