Great food and beautiful place. Very easy parking. The food was ready really quick and tasted really good, portions were small but flavorful. Wait staff were extremely friendly.
Love this place! Great service, beautiful decor-all things Louisiana!
Very good meal! They have a nice selection of food that makes it hard to choose what to have! The carbonara was fantastic, the duck fat fries have just the right hint of gamey-ness that makes you want more, and the service was outstanding! The staff was very to the point and allowed you the time to enjoy your meal but was also attentive without being annoying to the point that it ruins the meal. Also, it seems most people tend to dress up a bit more business casual when dining here but I was still able to dine in my very casual outfit.
This restaurant is totally amazing I’ve been traveling across the country by car trying a lot of different restaurants. This one is definitely one of the best by far. I had the fried chicken cream corn biscuits and mashed potatoes. Definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. The fried chicken is really light. The chicken is not greasy at all. The ambience in the restaurant is wonderful. The surroundings are very peaceful and the waitress Jessica was awesome. I just can’t say enough about how great the experience was. I will be back!!
Started out upstairs at Planters for a sunny view of the river and appetizers. After taking that in, we moved downstairs to Restaurant Cotton. We were seated immediately, may I add without a reservation. We enjoyed the biscuits with cane syrup butter….amazing.Our entree of Filet was cooked to perfection and delicious to the tongue. Well worth the drive to get here and we will return!!!
The interior and the decor is very nice. It's warm and inviting. Staff seemed a little confused as to their tasks, tables, and duties. Did not observe an apparent manager. Duck wrap appetizer was average; tasted like it had been under a warmer too long. Yardbird Sandwich was a basic crispy friend chicken sandwich that was good. Wasn't great or unusual. "Duck Fat fries where unimpressive, cool and soggy; and the portion was smaller than it should have been. Deviled Egg and biscuit appetizers were excellent. I wondered why we were always looking for our waitress to refill our water glasses, bring us some napkins, etc. My wondering ceased when I saw 20% mandatory gratuity. She knew she would receive at least 20% of our check!!
Good food and good service! Ask for Jessica, she was great!
Such a quaint place, but likely not worth the price. Place was empty when we arrived at 5pm Friday night. Best items were duck fried and shrimp wraps. Creole pasta was good but not great. Fish, venison and sides were so so. Not the best but not the worst. $180 for 4 people.
We had a wonderful meal in this beautiful restaurant located in a historic building on the Ouachita River. The food was unique and well prepared. We loved the biscuits and cane syrup butter. My husband had the venison schnitzel and I had the strawberry salad with grilled chicken. We finished with a delta fried pie. Our server was friendly and attentive.
The food was amazing but the wait was horrible. We sat down at 12:15, ordered 12:30ish and did not get our food until 1:55. It took another 5 minutes to get sauces that were missing from plates. While we were a party of 13, the restaurant cleared around us while we waited as people who came in after us got their food before us. Our waitress was very nice and apologetic, but the food was not worth the wait. (Apparently, there was a party of 25 right ahead of us.)
