I love the gumbo, rib eyes, and bloody marys.
We are always looking for that "hole in the wall" place to eat because it usually turns out to be the best place to eat... and Mohawk did not disappoint! Other half, who grew up on oysters from the Eastern Shore, stated the oysters were the best gulf oysters he's had... and he's always delighted to get softshell crab as well! The stuffed shrimp were tasty and their in-house tartar sauce was off the chain! We got to speak with the owner and he gave us a bit of history on the place. If we make it back this way, we would definitely go back.
Went here for my birthday.. BEST STEAK AND COFFEE ICE CREAM CAKE EVER!!!!!!!! pricey but worth it. Waiter was awesome

Best oysters on the half shell ive tasted in way too long. My home state. From the gulf. Upper medium in size and really fresh with natural good flavors. The staff here were kind and helpful. If 6 stars were available id give them that instead of five. I only had oysters, but seen amazing dishes others were eating seen the pleased faces they gave upon their first bite. Hopefully i pass through here again and can eat other menu items but i doubt i wont just get lots more oysters. Draft beer was cold.

Used to eat at the Mohawk Seafood Tavern. It's good family atmosphere away from the bar. I liked the seafood platter, the gumbo, it was all good. We had a good time, we ate some good seafood, and had serious family fun together at the Mohawk Tavern on Louisville Ave. in Monroe, LA.
Always a great place to eat, everything is excellent that I have tried and great service also!
The Oysters are top notch. Fried crawfish was great. The service is great too. Our waiter Lee was wonderful. Will be back
