Been waiting 42 minutes for my order thought it wouldn’t take long at first then one person came for their pickup order then another then another and pretty much left and so do did most of the people that had ordered on the phone.Wouldn’t recommend unless you feel like waiting 2 hours for your order.
Not my favorite place to eat...But my wife loves the place... They have good food and usually good service..Gotta make the wife happy and eat there occasionally
I stopped in for a simple French dip-- nothing fancy. Besides taking an inordinate amount of time when they weren't busy, my sandwich came out with a burnt hoagie and the roast was shaved too thick, making it chewy. I realize it was an off hour, and I am reluctant to base this on one visit, but the meal was rather expensive be it any time of day. I have had much better on previous visits so will only go during meal hours.
Horrific. I went there last night, placed a to go order for 2 sandwiches with no drinks. Still $24!! I was prepared for that, but I wasn’t prepared for is to not have my name called for my to go order at all!! The bag sat on the counter for a full 45 minutes until I decided to ask where my food was. I was then met with a “oh sorry I didn’t know you were Ryan. I thought this was a DoorDash order or something”. Even after I complained that the food was refrigerator cold by now, they did not attempt to remedy my situation at all!!
McAlisters is my go to when traveling. Monroe location was a disappointment. Way UNDER staffed! This was a to-go order. Ordered loaded baked potato with butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon & chives; NO butter or sour cream; really dry potato. Ordered French Dip; extremely dry bread with NO Au Jus; side of tomato/cucumber salad which unedilble.Felt bad for the gentleman in front of me that only ordered dinner for himself. We had both had been waiting over 15 minutes. My order came up before his. I did apologize to him, as no staff even acknowledged him, the mess up or how many of us were standing there waiting.Do better!.
Came here on a Saturday, ordered our food at 12:41 noon, and received our food 1:30 . The food was delicious but had we known it would be such a wait, we would've chosen a different place. Waitresses run all over the place trying to find where patrons sat down after their food is ready. Not much organization.But... Like I said, food is good ?
Super bizarre experience. Not sure if the manager is aware they're closing at 9 p.m. on a Saturday. We're from out of town and came in at 8:50 p.m. Online it says y'all close at 10:00 p.m. So we walk up and start looking at the menu and this kid with a beard and wearing a grey hoodie behind the counter said "don't y'all no we're closin" and my husband said no.. it says online you close at 10. The kid then replied "well really we close whenever I want to". So my husband said ok well is that at 9 or 10? And him and the other guy behind the counter just ignored us so we walked out. It didn't look like there was anyone in the kitchen so I'm not sure if that was the issue or what the deal was. Just overall really rude for no reason.

the best in town food is always hot and fresh I enjoy this place ..
Talked to manager, total waste of time, no offer of money back, no help. Food line people no hair nets, should be health code violation in Independence Missouri.
