The food wasn't quite right and they raised their prices. We used to go regularly but probably won't be back.
I wanted to try out a different Mexican restaurant in Monroe , and based on reviews thought this would be an awesome place to eat good authentic Mexican food. While the restaurant was clean with beautiful paintings, the food was a disappointment. We had beef and chicken fajitas and shredded chicken soft tacos. Both dishes were extremely salty. The chicken tacos tasted like brined chicken and was watery with no sour cream but just lettuce and cheese. This place has a lot of potential if the chef would pay attention to salt and proper seasoning of food. For the high prices this did not meet the standard. The young man who waited on us was polite and apologized for the salty food.
For my experience I was not impressed with the food. It looked good, but the taste just wasn't to my expectations. We were seated near the entrance to the bar and the music coming from the bar was way too loud. There was also music playing inside the restaurant for patrons eating, which was something Spanish. The bar music was 80s country and was just competing with what was playing in the restaurant. That was quite annoying to contend with while trying to eat. Service was average. I didn't really care for their salsa, it just didn't have much flavor. I don't see this as a place I'd eat at again.
This was my first time eating here and I'm very impressed. The atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. I will be recommending it to others. I plan to bring more of my family and friends and have a good time.
