My husband and I are on vacation. We traveled all the way from the Austin, Texas area. We are staying right off Bourban St., and this restaurant was recommended. I informed them that I had food allergies and couldn't eat onion. The cashier rolled her eyes the entire time we spoke to her. I asked her to please check what I could eat and if I had options. She said that there was nothing that I could really eat. Another employee overheard our conversation and said that all I could probably eat would be a salad, no meat, just plain to avoid getting sick with spices. I then asked the cashier if I could just have two waffles instead of chicken and waffles since they thought the spice in the batter may have onion powder. She said no. She didn't call a manager. She didn't consider our drive. She didn't consider any accommodations for my food allergy. She just said, no she could not just order me waffles. We left and she could care less as we walked out knowing we made such an effort to eat at the restaurant. I do not recommend this place. Not all of us can eat certain foods, restaurants always are kind and accommodating. This one was not.

Very good food definitely will come back

We love this restaurant in Harvey. Excellent food, great service. So happy that they reopened after repairs. Please stop by soon!

I have been eating here since I was a kid and it's one of my favorite seafood restaurants. My parents and I love the lemony batter that the seafood is cooked in. I like that they have the option of thin fried catfish as well as thick because I like thin, while my sister prefers thick. The fries are probably my favorite thing from here and the hush puppies are my sisters. I really wanted to try the BBQ shrimp poboy but sadly both locations that we tried to go in the Metairie/Kenner area were closed for construction.

Portion size was small for the price. Ordered a side salad for 4 its like it was half of a side salad wont be ordering that ever again plus the chips that comes with queso and fries with meal u get maybe. Needless to say wont be returning. I also didnt like that my sons food came out before appetizers or our food. If i wanted his food out before everything i would of requested that

This poboy fulfilled my taste buds.

My go-to place. Food for every taste. Great prices, food and service. The soft-serve ice cream is a plus.

All around the Nola area you can find New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Co. locations, and with good reason. This low frills fast dining establishment is capable of putting a very solid product in front of you fairly quickly at a good cost. Did I mention there’s free ice cream?!The menu all looked so appealing but Chas had been here before so he made a few suggestions. We started off with some mozzarella sticks, I ordered the One-Handed BBQ Shrimp Po-Boy, and Chas and Val split a Breaded Shrimp Platter. These mozzarella sticks are huge and delicious. Super fresh from the fryer and clearly hand breaded on premises. Nice Structure to them on the exterior while the cheese inside was gooey and fabulous.Chas and Val’s sampler had Fried Shrimp, Hush Puppies, Cole Slaw, and the standard fries that are served here which come covered in a garlic herb sauce. The shrimp you could also tell was freshly breaded on site and was seasoned differently than the mozzarella sticks. They were delicious. The hush puppies had a nice flavor to them as did the slaw. These fries are really great. Very heavy garlic flavor and just so enjoyable.I got the One-Handed Shrimp Po-boy by Chas’ suggestion, and it did not disappoint. I also had a side of those delicious fries, but this sandwich was unlike others I have had in the area. Firstly, it is BBQ shrimp in a po-boy which is not typical at all. Secondly, it was a chunk of French bread loaf that was hollowed out and stuffed with the BBQ shrimp as opposed to it being sliced and served like a hoagie. This sandwich was very good. Crusty, flaky bread stuffed with this New Orleans staple dish (which has nothing to do with BBQ by the way) was a homerun. We collected our free ice cream and hit the road after that! The platter and sandwich both around $13 and a $5 app and this was a super enjoyable lunch. No brainer here. New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company – Didn’t Suck!

There wasn't anything wrong with the service, in fact they seemed to be doing their job thoroughly in the FOH, but I can't say the same thing for the kitchen and the food we got. I love red beans so I ordered that and it taste identical to the RB&R at Popeye's. Was kind of expecting a little bit better from NO H&S. Grandparents got the thin friend catfish that they enjoyed so much a few months ago when we ordered from there as takeout, but this time it was so bad my grandpa didn't eat it. And for something to be not eatable to him really says a lot. Food quality has dropped noticeably and spending about $12/person at least, I'd get Canes for the same price over this every day.

We had a fun time and a delicious meal. We are visiting and took locals there to eat. They were pleased and surprised that the food was as good as it was. The staff was amazing and very hospitable to us. We had been before on a previous visit. So happy to return.Hope to visit again soon. Thanks for a memorable holiday .
