Great value! Large rolls!We dropped by here for a late lunch during the week. 1:39 ish.I have to say that the wait stuff was not the friendliest but they were very efficient.We ordered two of their large rolls and their seafood cucumber salad.I started by ordering edamame- it was a huge serving and hot and delicious.Just a few minutes later these huge rolls arrived. Apologies I can’t remember the name of them as they were for my guest. I ordered the seafood cucumber salad. It had a lot of sushi seafood on top and cucumber underneath. It was delicious. I did find I needed to add a little spicy mayo for my taste.The price for the amount of food that was delivered was incredible.
We attempted to come to the restaurant to eat today. The hostess walked out of the restaurant to put a sign up stating that they were temporarily closed due to no power. She was very ugly and gruff asking us if we were coming to eat. And meanly growled "NO POWER". We left with a bad taste in our mouth, and may never come back, when there are better places like Daiwa around. The hostess should never treat the customer like they are unwelcome. :-(
Little Tokyo is my family favorite sushi or hibachi stop. We love their options but REALLY MISS THE HIBACHI TABLE!Good place to have sushi. Slow service!
It was really nice. Waiter was awesome. Food was good. Atmosphere was really nice. Be aware that this is not the Little Tokyo on Veteran's. That one closed and I found out during this visit that it's owned by different owners. While this one was just as awesome, the one on Veteran's is more fun. This one is a lil upscale/swank. Again, same name, two different places and the one on Veteran's is closed and I don't know if they just relocated.
This place used be located down the street. Food quality and presentation is not the same anymore. The sushi rolls are ridiculously big...I didn't even enjoy eating it. The cut of fish is sloppy. I feel like this food belongs in a buffet. Please hire some real sushi chef before this restaurant goes down under. Have your employees to wear some professional looking uniforms. Paint the trimmings and moldings in the restaurant that look damaged. It gives guest the impression the owner don't care. No offense...but almost everyone working at this restaurant is Hispanic. I thought this supposed to be a Japanese restaurant. Just sayin.
Truly enjoy coming here and is slowly becoming of my favorite sushi places. Never had a bad experience here, never had a sushi roll I didnt enjoy and exceptional value. They do a lot of take out business and business in general and is clear as to why. Wish I would have tried them sooner but they are one of my go-tos when in town.
Huge rolls packed with large cuts of fish, definitely not what we were expecting for the low price!! A VERY pleasant surprise! Our go-to place now
Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing, because the reviews for this restaurant seem positive, but I was disappointed that the sushi roll I ordered was so incredibly large I could not even fit the individual pieces in my mouth. I would have had to cut each individual piece of the sushi roll up into 3 bites in order to eat it. I imagine that not all the rolls are like this.To me personally, this takes the enjoyment out of eating sushi. I feel like you’re supposed to have each individual piece, dipped on the ginger, the wasabi, and the soy sauce or whatever you prefer, so you can get all the flavors in one bite. It was just too much. Ginger or wasabi was not included on the plate either. The edamame was good but not quite salted enough, the drinks were also good. The service over all was also very good, all of the employees were very friendly. If I went back I would order something different for sure.
Excellent jalapenos poppers with a Japanese influence on them, solid ramen and very good maki rolls that were really big and tasty!
I was skeptical but surprised as I usually frequent another well-known spot but it was very good and I enjoyed everything I ordered. I would definitely return.
