Always a nice and welcoming experience here. Very nice staff, delicious food, and decent prices. If you haven’t tried them, then I definitely recommend. Got the chicken shawarma wrap with fresh fries. Then they recommended a freshly baked dessert and I’m so glad we gave it a try because I fell in love with it, but I still can’t pronounce the name so I hope this picture helps. I just wish they had more parking space or a bigger restaurant because they get a good lunch rush..but JJs next door does too.?
I passed kabob house a couple of times and it was always very busy. Today i finally tried it and now i understand whats the big fuzz. Its delicious! Best Mediterranean food ive tried
This place has a chokehold on me. It’s so good and the portion sizes are huge. Super nice and accommodating— aka: I don’t like salad so they offered me double hummus with my meal. Can’t recommend enough!
Delicious!! Sometimes my husband and I crave this place. We also love their mint lemonade. We travel from the Westbank to eat here. It’s made fast and good ingredients. I can’t see why anyone would give them less than 5 stars.
Genuinely my favorite Mediterranean spot here! We had the chicken shawarma plate today and it’s always top tier. They’re the nicest people and I’ve never had a bad experience. Their desserts are a must try as well. Highly recommend the knafa, baklawa, and their lazy cake ?
I will definitely not eat here again. The people there are very nice, but the food was far from authentic Mediterranean food. I ordered a falafel plate and the dressing on the salad was Thousand Island dressing, the falafels had no seasoning along with the rice. The falafels didnt even seem cooked all the way. Then on top of all of that i ordered a lebanese tea which is supposed to have pine nuts in it and it didnt. It literally tasted like tea and lemonade.
It’s always a great experience. The food is spectacular and the people that work there are amazing. I get the fresh grilled bell peppers with everything. Ten stars for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place has a pretty standard Mediterranean menu. The food tasted fresh, but lacked spice. The hummus was quite bland, as was the lamb kebab. The gyro wrap was better, and I liked that the grilled it after it was wrapped. Service was fine, maybe a little slow. They close at 7 on Saturday night, which seems a little early.
Consistent, authentic, delicious and real-deal Mediterranean food. The customer service is always amazing. We will drive an hour just to eat here.
Who goes to Nola and think's "Can't wait to try the Mediterranean food!"? Well neither did I, but I will from now on. The Kabob House in Metairie has an incredible assortment of different drinks, foods, and desserts if you need a little change of pace from fried oysters and gumbo. What is seriously more impressive is that the food here was just as good as any I've had in NYC. New Orleans is a food town, but I had no idea this style of food was something I could find here with such quality. For the drinks I tried a soda that I had never heard of called "Vimto" that had black currants and other varieties of fruit with Hibiscus. I couldn't drink this all the time because it was very sweet, but it was excellent. The gentleman working the register also talked me into trying a yogurt drink. The best way for me to describe this is it was almost like liquid cottage cheese. The texture wasn't off-putting at all but I think this is one of those cultural things that you appreciate more if you grew up on it.The Falafel was very good. Brown fried crust opens to bright green inside and the flavor was totally on point. These were maybe $1 or less a piece and totally worth it. Also came with a tasty dipping sauce but they're plenty good on their own.The Chicken Shawarma over salad was really solid also. Nice crispy pieces from the outside of the spit but also still very tender and flavorful. The Kofta Kabob was seasoned perfectly and was gone before I could even take a picture of it! I am usually not even a huge kofta fan but this was excellent. The Beef Shawarma however was the best dish here, and it wasn't even close. The flavor and texture were as good or better than any I've ever had. Some pieces were more cooked than others and honestly, I'm not even sure which ones I preferred. This was served over hummus and that was also very good. Smooth and not grainy at all with excellent flavor all blended together.Goes without saying but i'll say it anyway, The Kabob House in Metairie, Louisiana - Didn't Suck!
