Fabulous staff very attentive
I am not one for giving reviews much especially bad ones but last night was a horrible experience. Four of us went to Impastato’s for a friend’s birthday. When we got there, no one greeted us. Several servers walked by without even acknowledging us. Not even a smile. After waiting several minutes, An older gentleman in a suit comes up to grab something from the counter so I tell him that we were waiting to be seated. (We had reservations) He tells me in a rude manner that we have to just wait for Joe. (I think that was his name) like we knew why that was. Finally Joe comes to seat us and as we are walking through the crowded restaurant, the same older gentleman in the suit cuts between 2 of the four of us and makes us step aside for him to walk by. Totally rude on his part. WE ARE TGE GUESTS! Then we are seated and brought appetizers and no utensils or napkins were on the table. My appetizer was wrong so everyone else was finished theirs by the time I got mine. My niece ordered a Bloody Mary which tasted like pure vegetable juice so they took it and didn’t bring it back for about 15 minutes. I also asked that when the desert came, they surprise my friend and sing for her birthday as I had watched several tables do this but when it was time here came the older man in the suit again! He comes to the table and asks whose birthday was it. There went the fun of that! Service took forever which is understandable in these times but there were several staff working so I didn’t understand. And now while eating the leftovers, I bite into a bread wrapper. I’m done!!!
A+ rating. Food, service, atmosphere, attentiveness. Everything was great!
Had reservations for 6:30pm.Party of 7 people.Plate after plate of bread ?Appetizer came one hour after first ordered.... hour after that two small tasting of pasta.... and now 8:50pmStill waiting...I don't think ? this place operates like this all the time... graduation and a crowed , people waiting out in the parking lot.... I'm not very fond of my choice of "Market Price" 2lb Lobsterthat's still not here.....
We had reserved a table for 7pm Saturday May 14th for our daughters graduation. Although seated straightaway we had to wait for over 2 hrs for our main course to be served! My youngest daughter was eating from the childrens menu and consequently didn’t start eating until 9pm. We were then rushed out with to go boxes being distributed 10 mins after we got our meal. They are seriously understaffed, there are many busboys but no servers. The waitress attended the 3 other tables around us constantly. How she could ignore that we were courses behind the other tables ( set menu) is beyond me. She always said the ‘food is coming’. It never did! I had to ask the abrupt rude manager twice for it. I did notice that our back dining room was overcrowded and that the front dining room was better and more efficiently ran. I won’t be returning to Impastatos.A graduation dinner shouldn’t have to be such hard work!
We absolutely love Impastatos! My now fiancé and I got engaged here about 4 months ago and they were a delight and helped my fiancé plan everything! The food, atmosphere, and the staff are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend!
Food was good. Service staff definitely understaffed but doing their best. Bar seriously understocked...no Campari, no Aperol, no Pimms, no amaretto, no prosecco. Food slow coming out but definitely worth wait. Will return, just not on a weekend.
We thought we could Order off the menu in a Saturday evening. But found out Quickly they only served the chef prepared 5 course meal. It was me my wife and 2 children. So we decide what the heck. We split 2 of these meals with our children and it was wonderful. Something to be aware of is that dinner too a little more than 2 hours. We started at 7 and got out of there about 9:15. The pasta Alfredo was best I’ve ever had. I think it was the noodles. I’m guessing they were freshly made. The shrimp au gratin was probably my favorite part of the meal.we got the filets and they were pretty big and we weren’t sure we could even finish them but we did. And lastly. Was tiramisu and a chocolate mouse. The mouse was so good we ordered another one to go. The kids gobbled that right up. Another thing to be aware of is that it was very loud in there with lots of Italians talking. I think most were from New York too. Lol.
Crab fingers were really good. The bread came freshly baked. And the desserts are also a treat. Ate at the bar as on my own, but definitely has a family business feel to it. It was packed and with the food quality and the atmosphere it's no wonder. The service was attentive and helpful. We'll go again.
I admit it, Impastato’s serves good food. I also admit that I won’t be going back anytime soon. Why? I don’t appreciate being told that I must order (and pay) for a 5 course meal. I just don’t eat that much food at one meal. So, of course, I took a lot of it home and enjoyed it later but that’s not the meal I wanted.
