Quaint neighborhood style restaurant with very respectable Italian food and very friendly and attentive service. The onion rings were really good and the parmigiana was on point. The only lack of a star is that it wasn't something you would drive for an hour to get. Nonetheless, we'll be back when in the mood and the neighborhood. Well done.
My mother and I experienced racism in this restaurant. I decided to go here for my birthday after reading all the great reviews but quickly realized I made a mistake. As soon as we arrived, we were seated in a corner with a small wall blocking us away from everyone. I didn’t mind it at first as I actually appreciated the privacy. We started with the roast beef fries as an appetizer and they arrived luke warm as if they had been sitting ready for a while. We didn’t say anything and ate them. Then we ordered a small salad that you could tell came out of a bag pre made. It wasn’t very good but we ate half of it and didn't say anything. We finally ordered our main entree and waited for over an hour and it never came. There were plenty of people who came before us and after us who had all received their food. Some were already leaving and we still hadn’t received anything. We asked the waitress what was going on and she said there was an incident in the kitchen with our meals and it should be coming soon. We waited 15 more minutes and it still hadn’t arrived as we watched everyone in the restaurant continue to receive their food. It made us very uncomfortable and we finally realized these people didn’t want us there or cared about us. The hostess/ older lady kept giving us a weird look the whole time as well. I didn't want to think this and to be honest I have never experienced this before but me and mom agreed that this what was going on. Racism and inequality. We decided to leave and asked the waitress for our check of the stuff we had already eaten as we weren't looking for a free meal. We even still tipped the waitress as we aren't bad people. She never apologized and it was almost like there were happy we were leaving and could care less. We then went to Dragos where we were seated quickly and given the upmost respect. I don't understand why this happened but it is not right. Every customer in your restaurant should be treated equally, i'm letting other people know about my experience and hopefully you guys will change and correct your behavior. I don't need a fake apology or response now as you guys didn't care to give us one when we were there.
We always stop here when flying in/out of NOLA. Hands down the best Italian. Our goto's are Chicken Parm, Blackened Chicken Alfredo and of course the gravy fries app. Service is always on point. Wish we could visit more often. Keep up the great work.
Mama G’s Eggplant was divine!! Onion rings were so crispy and delicious. Muffuletta was good too.
Wish y’all were open later so I could come more often! Absolutely love this place. My all time favorite pasta is from here. If you’re looking for the best tasting fettuccine Alfredo come here. Service is great and the staff is always attentive and polite. Definitely my favorite dinner spot and my first suggestion when anyone asks where we should eat.
First time here. The people are very nice. Waitress was great! Food was minimal. Very little flavor. Marinara sauce was too sweet.
Fabulous food! Great service! Family owned and operated. Support your local businesses.Had a cup of delicious seafood gumbo (I devoured too quick for a picture!), blackened chicken Alfredo, and cannolis to top it off. Also love their pressed muffuletta (the best in town in my humble opinion!)
Food was excellent: fried eggplant appetizer was so good you don't need a dipping sauce. Entree selection is difficult because there are so many choices. Only downside was the wine selection.... They were out of several choices. We will definitely be back.
We ate here yesterday and it was delicious! Everything was hot and fresh and the service was amazeballs! Big shout out to Mardi Gras Goddess Michel… she’s amazing!Enjoyed every bite we took from the calamari, to the homemade chips to the delicious Muffaletta!I’m getting back there real soon again! Nom nom nom nom!
Shrimp etouffee is amazing. like so amazing I'm still thinking about it now and I had it 5 hours ago...
