The heart of hospice hospital is the best place we’ve ever taken my mom. She has stage 4 lung and liver cancer and she has had horrible service and care at other places. East Jeff heart of hospice has no competition! They accommodated my mom’s every need. They went above and beyond for my mom to keep her comfortable while also accommodating the family’s need as well. The staff ( from 04/15/22-04/20/22) are all so nice and compassionate. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I attempted to see my mother who is in hospice. I was stopped at the screening desk and was confronted by one rudest uncaring people I have ever met. I asked to speak to a supervisor however the only employee to was a security guard. This is absolutely ridiculous and uncaring.
All staff I came in contact were rude and no help. they ignored most of my questions and concerned. As I'm looking at discharge paper I see they were giving me a medication that I told them I no longer take and have no interest in taking . They never once mentioned they were giving me this medication. the notes from my stay are inaccurate. saying I told a Dr I was depressed and wanted to hurt myself . this is the farthest from the truth . I've always had good things to say about this place but after this visit I'm very disappointed and angry .

Visited the ER with an 86 year old with weakness and abdominal pain. After 3 plus hours they are unable to find her a bed, stating they are understaffed. As the pain and weakness intensify, I ask for a pillow and blanket so that she can be moved to one of the recliner chairs. I'm trying to make the best of a bad situation. I'm told she can have neither because they only have them in the back but they give me sheets. How is it possible that a hospital this large cannot provide even basic comfort measures?
For the past week, we experienced these ICU heroes firsthand. Thank you all so much for the incredible work you are doing and the sweet sweet way you treated my family. Every single one from those cleaning the room to the nurses and doctors I send a heartfelt Thank you.
I would like to take the time to tell anyone Who has reservations about going to the hospital at this time with Covid do not be afraid East Jefferson in Hospital and their entire staff or professional extremely kind and truly helped me. I came threw the er that were fast and professional I was so impressed with how amazing every single person did there job and with an amazing attitude I tell u even the girl who cleaned the floor in my room was a beautiful and helpful and professional. If u have Covid they are the people to help. Honestly I can’t say enough they were amazing
Yes, I recommend the hospital. BUT was EXTREMELY disappointed when I went to enjoy the fountain outside and found it GONE. WHY??? It was so peaceful. Now it's nothing.
