Traveled almost 5 hours to try this place. The one in New Orleans wait was extremely long so we drove to the Metairie location. My husband is always a picky eater but I would eat or try anything. Well if I say it was not good then it was not good at all. We waited over an hour, after being set down to get food. There was absolutely no seasoning in the food. I paid $10 for boil shrimp that looked stringy and tortured. They almost didn't look like shrimps at all. The red beans and rice was awful. I ordered a boil soft shell crab and it looked like an oversized boiled cockroach. I could even put my mind together to try it. My husband catfish was hot and nasty. This is one of his favorite food and he left over half on his plate. We paid $75 on food that we was only able to consume $10 worth. We left and drove to a fast food joint. I hope this was just this particular day but I'll never try them again. I will say that my Coke was good.

This was a fantastic place with absolutely delicious food. Our waiter, Patrick, was the best. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. We had the stuffed mushrooms and crawfish balls for appetizers. So delicious! I had the seafood gumbo and my husband had the seafood salad, we ate every bite. We highly recommend this restaurant.

There's something to be said about the classics. Deanie's has been a constant in the New Orleans area food scene for as long as I can remember and that's not a bad thing. Don't come in expecting fancy decor or a fresh new menu - but come for a true taste of New Orleans all around. It's hard to have a bad experience here and should be on the list for any visit to the area!

Good service and great food as always.we went maybe an hour after opening and we didn’t have to wait to be seated.

It is very casual but the food is so fresh and seafood is great. (2 other locations but this is the original). Oysters everyway and huge (raw & charbroiled). Crawfish & stuffed flounder & huge fried seafood platters. Artichoke hearts appetizer also excellent. Can't say enough about how great it is. As long as you do not need fancy, this is the place to go for quality & quantity and reasonable prices. Family friendly with great service. Everyone loved their food and considered it an 'experience'.

We've eaten here several times. We like it, nothing real fancy, but good seafood. We like the crawfish dishes, and will try them again.

They're located off main thoroughfare near other restaurants. We happened upon them while exploring the area and decided to give them a try. They have a small parking lot for your convenience. The staff was friendly and helpful. Typically when you go into a restaurant they serve you bread while you wait but this place served small round potatoes. That was a surprise that we did enjoy. The food we ordered was a decent portion but could've used more seasoning to be flavorful.

Absolutely wonderful fried seafood. My wife and I got the half seafood platter and it was more than enough for the two of us. Have been going there for twenty years. Food is always Great wait staff is very attentive. For great food in a casual setting I highly recommend. Wish I could go every weekend.

My experience was pleasant and the service was great! My family came in and our group of 7 was seated immediately. It was the middle of the week so no large crowds. I enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms the most.

I wanted to celebrate my accomplishment of "Community Manager of the Year"! So I took a 78 mile drive to do so. Bryson, my server had a great personality, he was friendly, helpful and definitely a people person! Oh did I say my grandson's name is Bryson too!!The food was yummy and I was really surprised how good the carrot souffle was.?
