My family and I have bought many mocha cakes for years, even before they had this Clearview location. Unfortunately, the cakes are a hit and miss. I never wrote a review to complain even when they made my order incorrectly and act like it was an inconvenience to fix it. However, my most recent purchase is what prompted this review. The cake was not fresh. As a matter of fact, it had small specs of mold. The top layer was dry while the bottom and middle layer was sorta wet. I wonder how long the cake has been sitting in the display shelf ?? Why are they selling the cake when they know it is past its expiration date?
Went in Saturday before Easter and there great looking desserts, cakes and cookies! I even notice a small menu of quick lunch items. And the ladies behind the counter were sweet and courteous and helpful. Gave it 4 stars though because when I enter a bakery I expect to see loaves of different breads, French and the like, croissants too. Did not see one, and some might think I should've asked, but I don't if it's a bakery by name
If you are a Vietnamese coffee lover this is the place to get it. Their cakes and pastries are to die for ! SO YUMMY!
Homemade and fresh pastries. Great variety and friendly service.
The food looked good. Service was not good. 1st time in the bakery. Cashier seemed liked I bothered her when I asked if she had a paper menu. She had no menus. Tables were dirty. I had to ask to have them cleaned. Then, water was only smeared across them. I only happened upon the place because my car was being serviced next door at NTB. I will not patronize them next time.
Disappointed by the tiramisu. 3 layers of dry vanilla sponge cake with some cream in-between and cocoa powder on top. Barely tasted any coffee. Tasted more like a bland birthday cake. Other desserts looked delicious though.
The food is great - honestly. But it's VERY EXPENSIVE (not super convinced it's worth the price), and the staff was horrible. Honestly the least friendly place I've been to in a long time.
I’ve always enjoy the pastries and cakes here; however I went to get a cake and the cashier who was also the person getting the cake had no gloves on, touched the phone, cash register and the fruit on my cake. When told I didn’t want the cake it was received well and a different cake was given to me. Cashier said they had NO gloves. In a time like this when we are fighting a deadly virus it is unbelievable that a food place provides no gloves for its employees handling food. I hope they can change this.
They need to stick to the sweets and stay away from the savory. Absolutely the worst bowl of Pho I have ever had. Broth was bland and the eye of round was cut like strip steak instead of thinly sliced. Not worth the wait or money.
Thank you for the reply from the owner. I understand mistakes happen so I completely accept your apology. This place has always been one of my favorites and seen how great the owner handles situations I’ll definitely be returning to buy my treats. It was the Clearview location btw
