used to work hear this place, seaux it was a lot easier to get the shrimp salad on croissant...but it's still well worth the trip...especially on warm daze...down in the swamp...
This is a hidden gem of Matairie! This place is amazing! They have GREAT food and even better service!! I came down with a large team for a big sporting event and we came here every morning. After a few days the ladies realized we were a sports team and started asking us how we’re doing in the event and it was so sweet. The atmosphere is very mom and pop shop where everyone is in a great mood and truly cares about you. The place is very clean and well set up. They have great options that appealed to everyone’s desires. 11/10 place you must try!
Very disappointed in that the breakfast platter was not prepared with the order. Instead it was some sort of warmed up eggs that were cold on the inside. The sausage a round patty was warm not hot. The grits were creamy and tasted like paste. My wife heated her paper plate in the micro wave while I just fumed that my food was not hot. More offensive was that every piece of eating utensils was used once and thrown away. Just terrible that cups, plates, bowls and lids, forks, knives and spoons were all throw aways. This I thought was not some sort of franchised fast food operation but that it what it turned out to be. No table service but one ordered at the register and then returned to pick up one's food. I would not recommend this eatery -- never again.

Jan 3, 2021: I got the soup of the day, vegetable beef over pasta. Barely any pasta, barely any beef. It really should be called vegetable broth with veggies.At the beginning of the summer, I used to love this place. There has definitely been some kind of change in the kitchen or with the prep staff. As best as I can describe, it's just sloppy. The food doesn't taste how it should. My Greek roll may have had 1 cherry tomato, definitely, no onions, 1 or 2 olives. Coincidence

Good food, good coffee, and friendly service. Got breakfast here a couple times last week and everything was delicious.
