Absolutely worth the drive. The food was fresh, delicious, a pure delightful infusion and joy for the senses. Everyone at the location was kind, courteous, helpful and added to the exceptional experience! Highly recommended! Can't wait to return.
A+ banh mi sandwich construction, textures (fresh, crackly crust bread, veg, and meat), and bold flavors that play well together. I had the brisket banh mi, but they have fresh versions of the classics, too.Consider calling ahead. When I arrived, they were inundated with large orders and were honest about the long wait time. These people aren’t fooling around and care a lot about their sandwiches. It was such a delight to enjoy one on my way home after visiting NOLA. If I lived close by, I’d be a regular for sure.I’m also proud to see this coming from my generation of Vietnamese Americans. It’s great to see them taking the classic flavors from our elders’ generation and doing right by it while bringing forward fresh takes.
Lemon grass pork banh mi is the bomb. Love the complimentary mint water. Orders prepared super quick.
I stopped by to pick up the world famous banh mi as I was on way to airport. Wow, this place knows the art of making a delicious banh mi! Check them out, definitely worth it.
Finally made it to Banh Mi Boys in Metairie and it didn’t disappoint. The braised pork belly sandwich was really good and met my expectations. Tried a few Bang Bang shrimp and those are definitely getting ordered on the next visit. Service was quick and pleasant. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. Heaters were perfect on a chilly day.
Quick & friendly service. Loved the outside dining area and the Bang Bang Shrimp get a double ????. Can’t wait to go back and try the braised pork belly and some po-boys too⚜️?
I stopped by the uptown location of this eaterie after a busy day of sightseeing. It's located on Magazine Street near Harmony and definitely worth a stop. I was visiting during the Tet festival and was glad I could sample some local Vietnamese cuisine as it's been a part of the culture here for some time. The huge new year festival was happening over at Our Lady Queen of Vietnam, but since my time was short, this was a yummy alternative. I love Bahn Mi sandwiches, so ordered the special bang bang shrimp variety. It came in a delicious sweet and sour sauce, done to a turn and presented on a fresh baguette with all the trimmings. I'd ordered a simple side of house fries...it was huge, and tasty. There is a limited edition ooey gooey King Cake bread pudding on the menu right now. King cake, cream cheese and a sublime cinnamon sauce, topped in Mardi Gras colored sugars. A real treat but oh so decadent! A great place to grab a local bite that's a bit different, but still very much a part of New Orleans.
Food is always on point. The Thai tea is amazing!
Fantastic sandwich spot. Never disappoints.
Love the Uptown location!!! It's great to be able to sit inside on these chillier days! Also don't let a little line scare you away...they are ridiculously efficient with a small staff. I found it moved very quickly. I cannot get enough of the bang bang shrimp or the pork belly. Those sandwiches are where it's at. The debris and oyster fries are lagniappe. I also enjoyed their Korean wings even though they were much sweeter than I expected. Overall, worth the trip. Bang bang shrimp. You're welcome.
