The two gents working the oyster bar were awesome and great personalities.

Ask for server Lanie. Great friendly service. Great food. Love their chargrilled oysters.

the waitress had such a beautiful personality she treated me and my husband so good she check in us regularly her face kept a beautiful smile, the food were great I love Acme

Good food and decent prices. We had a half order of both types of oysters. I tried oysters for the first time on this trip and the garlic herb butter and cheese on the cooked ones was a great addition. I'm not much of a seafood person, but the chicken and sausage gumbo was really good, spicy enough to make you feel like you're eating the right foods for the location. I also had the grilled chicken ceasar salad, a lot of croutons, which is a meh for me, but it was the best dressed ceasar I've had while down here (and I've had like three because, as said above, not much of a seafood gal.) Perfect amout of dressing and well-seasoned chicken. Boyfriend had the medly and said everything was great. We also shared bread pudding for dessert and the sauce was so so good. I think this is a great place to start or end a trip to New Orleans. It was a little busy, but we were only waiting about 15 minutes and that was well worth it. Server was nice too.

The service was good, but this location is nothing like the Acme on Bourbon. The food was better there, but my party enjoyed their food. Got the fish and shrimp platter, the seafood gumbo, some lemonade, and sweet tea. The lemonade was good, but the sweet tea was AMAZING. The fish was thin and hard on the edges, but the shrimp was good. The seafood gumbo had a funky taste to it. I mean extreme funkiness. The jambalaya was good when my niece got it, so I switched my gumbo out for it, and the batch I got was burnt. Still tasted better than the seafood gumbo. The alligator bites were decent, kind of hard and tough. The parking is very tight. The ponchartrain catfish was good with the cream sauce.

Good customer service. Really busy place, but fun atmosphere. Good food. Good prices. We would definitely go back.Recommend: Trying the fried crawfish tails.Oh yeah the oysters are amazing.Get your friends & family together and go try this place. You will leave full and happy.

Went here tonight for dinner. Absolutely the worst food EVER. We ordered Ponchatrain and waitress said it was redfish but it ended up fried catfish. So soggy you couldn’t cut with a knife. Suppose to have crabmeat and shrimp in butter sauce on top. Ha it was some kind of gravy with minimal crab meat and NO shrimp. Awful. DONT GO THERE! Waste of money. We left hungry.

I arrived at the Acme Oyster House in Metairie after a long day in the sun at JazzFest. Even though the restaurant was packed, I was able to sit at a hightop in the bar. A cold Abita Amber was the first step towards a most enjoyable dining experience. Next, if my sense of taste is correct, the Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing on the side salad contained a touch of horseradish. Not too much; just enough to give the dressing a kick! Having tried several of the New Orleans style specialties in the past, I could not decide which one to have. Fortunately, Acme offers a "New Orleans Medley" -- Red Beans and Rice, Seafood Gumbo and Jambalaya. That looked like the best option for someone who was in a quandry regarding what to order. As it turned out, all three dishes were perfectly prepared and tasted great. Acme Oyster House is consistently good and every meal I have eaten there has been enjoyable. I look forward to my next trip to Metairie...and the Acme Oyster House.

OMG though they were crowded the weight was not too bad but I have to talk about the oysters there was absolutely no parmesan on the Char grilled oysters also the redfish was not tasty at all it tasted as though you were eating just regular pre Frozen tilapia I was not impressed at all I can think of a couple of restaurants around the city that can serve a very good tasting red fish I will not order this dish ever again the seafood platter was not to my liking either the oysters what are pulled apart in tiny pieces not very advertising potato salad was really good do yourself a favor and go to New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood for your oysters you can get them they're cheaper faster and better tasting

I prefer this location compared to the quarter location. No wait, food was perfect. Waiter was excellent.
