Great Service, Cold Food, Reasonable PricesMy party of 2 ordered mozzarella sticks, a roast beef poboy, and seafood gumbo with a side of potato salad. Our server, Gail, was a delight, and easily accommodated us and three other tables on a Wednesday evening. Our mozzarella sticks arrived lukewarm. The roast beef poboy was a hit. The seafood gumbo, however, was both a hit and miss: It was served also lukewarm with a tablespoon of tiny "salad" shrimp and a half of a small crab. The gumbo was noticeably lacking in flavor, and salt, which is a bonus for those wanting to lower their sodium intake. Our entire meal was less than $30.
Went the other night and was extremely disappointed, took forever to even get our drinks and finally after waiting almost 30mins they came take our order only to bring it out and the fries were cold like they have been sitting for a bit also one of my guest that was with me found what looked like to be a hair on their plate with their food partially on top of it! Will not be going back and letting everyone know!
The food was awesome. Had enough to eat there and take home.

Recently discovered Schnell's while visiting the west bank with friends. I had a real classic, braised rabbit with white beans, which was excellent. My wife had a fish platter, and our friends split a seafood platter that they could not finish. Fish is battered rather the more usual corn meal you find in the region. I was very impressed by the food and will definitely return.
Very good food service is great cooks are great very spacious and very fast service.
Over stuffed, dressed, oyster po'boy. On grilled French bread. Absolutely delicious.

After a long road trip I looked forward to a good hot meal. Ordered hamburgerSteak. Came with salad & side. The hamburger steak was served too soonTo have been cooked fresh. Regardless I was starving as 5:30 pm was myFirst meal of the day. The meat must have been nuked as it was as hard asA rock. Woild hav ate it but it was too salty. My waitress said “I’m sorry” butDid nothing about it. I flagged down another waitress and she took theMeat back to the kitchen. I ate 3 bites. Still hungrry I expected to be ableToGet something in its place. I made sure I ordered something. Cheaper toMake up the difference. Much to my surprise the original waitress came .To my table and told me the manager said I ate half so if I wanted some thing I would have toPay for it. I intended to pay but was highlyInsulted when mgmt sent waitress to relay aMessage and not come to my table. UnhappyWith the way itWas handled by the manager.. i wont eat there again. The waitresses willMiss my 25% tips. For $18 I got 2 salads and a side and they kept theSteak. Poor management .
