Shocking rude management. Just one of those unfortunate times when someone employed in the service industry shouldn’t be. Based on our experience today, The manager behind the bar was bloody appalling and shouldn’t be employed in a service industry. Shocking and surly and rude and more interested in eating her chocolate donut than serving paying customers. We were sat at a table and the maître d told us there’d be a long wait as our server (who was excellent by the way) was also waiting on a table of around 25 pax. After waiting a long time to order our drinks we moved to the bar to free up her time. The manager at the bar came out swinging telling us to be patient as they were short staffed. We told her we voluntarily moved. But she wasn’t interested. When we finished our drinks we asked her for the tab and she wouldn’t give it. She said we had to get it from the waitress. After we told her it was her who served our drinks she had another bite of her chocolate and donut and said when she had time she’d find out who took out order. I wish I knew her name but didn’t stick around long enough to find out. Anyway, she was working lunch time today. Hopefully it’s her last day. Literally the rudest bar maid I’ve ever come across, especially in awesome Mandeville.
Not sure what happen to their seafood supplier but I’ve eaten here before it was delicious. The seafood taste like it was farm raised both the fish and the shrimp. Sad we live in south Louisiana and seafood isn’t fresh.Hope they can improve but it’s disappointing for tourist visiting wanting fresh seafood. I’m from the south and I was disappointed when you looking forward to fresh seafood.
If you come out to the gulf coast this is the place to eat/drink. Decent prices happy hour everyday 2-5 apps and 2-6 drinks. Food was good. Cocktails were great!
We ate here today. Loved being able to have our pup with us. I ate the fish tacos and they were very good. We loved the cheese fries. Our server was excellent. Will definitely go again.
Absolutely loved the onion rings!!My burger was pretty good, too.The waitress was friendly & helpful.They have a sand area out back for kids to play in! Pretty cool!There was also some live music Thursday. I don't know if that is something they have all the time, but it was fun.It's outdoor seating, but there are fabric/plastic "walls" that protect you from being too cold.
I love their hamburgers and wings so much! Friendly service and great food and casual atmosphere right by the lakefront in Mandeville.
Went hear to escape the main waterfront restaurant crowds. The Beach House offers a clean and open dining atmosphere while serving up great food. I recently got the crawfish boil, which was perfect, and my wife got the poboy. The wait to get seated isn't so bad since there is a small coffee shop literally in the building next-door where you can relax while you wait. Highly recommend to locals and tourists!
Food was low quality, bartender made mistakes on drink order. Server was very polite and helpful but another young lady that brought food to our table talked so low that we couldn’t hear what she had for us, plus she had an attitude and just dropped our plates in front of us. Not worth the $100 we spent on the Lakefront. Mandeville deserves better!
We came here for the first time today. We arrived at 4:15pm. Our server took 15 mins to get to our table, and we ordered our drinks, apps, and meals all at once. and We didn't get our drink order until 5pm. Our appetizer came out at 515pm, and our meals came out at 545pm, with an entire meal missing from our order, and most of the food cold.They offered to comp us free shots. Which we declined.We will never come back here again which is a real shame since the location, atmosphere, and kids sandbox area is so nice.
This restaurant service is good. Staff is attentive. I love the sand box for the kids. The outdoor seating is amazing. This isn't a uppity place. It's a place to hang out with your kids and enjoy some adult time while the kids play in the sand. I will return to this spot. We ordered the guac chips. You get half the guac you need to finish your chips. I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The kids menu is outstanding. This restaurant is also down the street from the lake. After eating you can take a nice walk and watch the sunset. Definitely a spot for a good time.
