It was our first time here. Loved the menu but it’s almost like they don’t specialize and anything. So I got the “New Orleans style Shrimp PoBoy.” It tasted ok, but it’s definitely not the PoBoy we normally get. I think I took 2 maybe 3 bites with zero shrimp in my mouth. I’m use to getting them with shrimp overflowing and falling off the sandwich.I will definitely come back and try it again. I would try something different though.

I got a fried seafood platter. I liked the fact that the fried food wasn’t greasy. The gumbo appetizer was very good. The menu had a generous selection of food. My portion was huge!

Did a phone in order for pickup, friendly order taker, order ready quickly. Got a grilled shrimp salad and a meatball poboy, subbed out onion rings instead of fries. Poboy was huge, saved 1/2 for dinner. Salad was on point, lots of shrimp. The side of onion rings...well you can see from the picture...it contained 3 Rings...3...yes only 3. Hmmmm....

Excellent experience. This place really nails the atmosphere, the outside is unassuming but when you walk inside you are transformed into a different vibe. The food is great. They serve free garlic bread which has a detectable amount of pepper which is delicious and unique. The meatballs are massive and probably enough for 2 people. The turtle soup has very generous portions of turtle meat. The seafood is really what shines on this menu. You can not go wrong with any of the trout or catfish dishes. All of the portions are extremely generous. Overall a great experience.

Sorry but the food was horrible.i paid 48.00 for food I didn't eat. The bread pudding was a lump of mushy mush. The food was really reheated frozen. The best part was the too go beer. Other than that. Wasted 48.00 bucks.

Stopped here for dinner. The staff was prompt and friendly. We were seated immediately. The staff brought out hot bread right away. I had lasagna and my husband had the shrimp and oyster platter. Both of us agreed our food was very good. We will eat here again when we come back to the area.

The order is always right. We eat for 3 days off of the amount of food we get...so prices are reasonable! Very tasty, staff friendly, and big screen TVs at bar to watch your favorite sports.

First time at this location. Sat night, and they were very busy, but the staff was friendly and welcoming to my daughter and myself. We had a catfish/shrimp platter which was crispy and delicious. There really is an art to frying seafood properly. The crah claws in sherry butter were delicious but expensive ($20 appetizer), and the garlic bread was tasty. I had the chicken marsala, which was good, but oddly had no marsala flavor. It was more of a mushroom butter sauce.Still, I do recommend. The original restaurant on Canal has always been a favorite, and this one seems to share the same quality. One note--while the food at either location is tasty, the food is rich and heavy. If you're looking for lighter fare, go elsewhere.

First time at this location!! Found it on my upside app. Being an uber driver on the southshore I'm always recommend the mandina's on canal for my favorite lunch. Turtle soup and onion rings. It was great to find the one in Mandeville so I could get my fix!!!

The food was good. I had the grilled catfish topped with shrimp creole. The Bread Pudding is a desert you definitely want to try if you like this kind of dessert. I tried the crab claws, spinach and artichoke dip and egg plant appetizers that some of the people in my party had and they were ALL delicious. Nice atmosphere. I would visit again and try some of the other meals on the menu.
