Went tonight and sat for 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table..... besides bring chips and salsa when we first sat down. Staff kept looking at us from a far but never came to the table.... they would go to the tables next to us. So we just got up and left and went somewhere else. Used to love going here.... the past few times not so much.
my best Mexican restaurant.
I've still yet to find an actually good Mexican food place here in Mandeville area and tried quite a few. It's basic tex-mex food that's been even more americanized. If you need a craving to fill, this is the best I've found so far but in no way is anything authentic Mexican food. They also forgot multiple things on our to go order and even forgot to put the dressing on the salad. Very disappointing
Oh my! Hola Frida hit the spot! This sweet passion fruit margarita was so refreshing! The tinga (shredded chicken) flautas were tasty (not bland). Also ordered taco salad with steak. The tender cuts of fajita steak were seasoned just right. Our server was so pleasant, attentive and polite! Definitely recommend!!

In an time when labor is hard to come by I decided not to complain about the quality of service. But interactions with 3 servers were all far from basic service. About 10 things were completely wrong. After the 3rd mishap I should have left. I’ve never had an experience like this before. Finally had to take my bill to the manager at the front desk to pay. He knew our table was blundered several times. He even walked by at one point and joked “third times a charm”. When checking out I said I’m sorry I don’t want to complain cause I’m sure she’s young or just an off day but We didn’t even get half our order after we got other parts completely wrong. He said nothing, looked past me to the people who just walked in and addressed them and walked them to a table and completely walked away and said nothing to me. I was standing in front of him. I was respectful the entire time. I never raised my voice, never was disrespectful or rude. Absolutely disappointed. We always enjoyed spending lots of visits there. It was one thing to have poor service. Sometimes places have bad days. But piss poor managerial skills. That is where they lost me. But apparently everyone I spoke to since has said they have gone down the toilet a while now. Will never set foot in there again. And glad so many other people I know will not either.
Amazing service as always & great food
Came in with my friend because he was hungry after the waiter realized I wasn’t hungry she got mad and started saying you shouldn’t come in and take up space if you don’t want to eat. We weren’t in a big group asw so this made me mad bc I was just trying to be with him
Les is the best waiter hands down! Nothing like having great food on top of great service! Les was very friendly and has a great personality! I know it’s almost the end of the year so I can’t say he should be employee of the year, just give him a raise or something! ?
