My family has been coming to the Dove Park location for several years, and this has become our "GO TO" place for Mexican food when in the area, as we live in Hammond, LA (35 miles away). We enjoy the food-- my wife enjoys the shredded beef Chimichanga every time, one of my daughters is partial to the Chicken Quesadilla, my other daughter likes the soft shell beef Tacos, while I am all over the menu and like it all! We also have a favorite server, Bernardo, who has always been very attentive to our table even when they are very busy. Give El Rancho in Mandeville a try, and ask for Bernardo!

The food here is the real deal, I love Mexican food. My vegetarian fajitas with fresh corn tortillas were great!Staff is very nice and prices are reasonable. I'm giving only 3 stars because the garden quesadilla had so much liquid that is was dripping and the tortilla got all soft so it could not be picked up as it also had way too much stuffing. I asked about it but the server said that they are always like that. They really need to improve, quesadillas are not supposed to be like that.Another thing is that they make the Piña Coladas like a milk shake and it is supposed to be a cocktail, I could bearly taste the rum.
I came here for lunch a few months after moving to Mandeville and fell in love with the food, service, and cleanliness. I have tried many restaurants in the area and they are by far the best on the Northshore if you like authentic Mexican cuisine.
Loved the food. Big menu and a lot more traditional dishes than other local places.
This is our go to Mexican for the area. Food won’t knock your socks off, but it’s solid and the service has always been good.
