Barbecue Cajun/Creole Food Trucks

I love the taste of bbq ribbs, rice dressing, potato salad, baked beans. I have repeatedly paid large prices for extra servings. The man on the red truck will NOT for whatever reason accommodate me. I ordered a meal with these items and I explained to him that I will pay extra, just give me some food. Everything was up to par except of course the rice dressing. The rice dressing was an amount that would feed a 2 year old. I have tried and happily support this business because the food tastes good and the owners are friendly. However, I will have to take my $ elsewhere because of this reason. This is so unethical to cheat customers on the portions of food and I was a repeat customer for years because I thought that it would get better. To my surprise, it’s gotten worse. Oh by the way, the Cajun rice was dry and hardly any meat in it. I wish them well but me, my family and my friends and colleagues will not return.

Always enjoyed everything I've eaten there plus Mrs. Rita is always fun to talk with.

Great food. Awesome Friendly service.

Best plate lunches in town!!! love this place. portions are great . You will love it!!!

The food is always superb! I had a chicken quesadilla and my partner had a burger. The cuts of bacon on the burger were excellent, even the pickles were fantastic. The chicken is FIRE! So dang good! Even the leftovers were awesome a second time around! Service was okay, I think our waitress might have been new. But we sure appreciate the hospitality shown to us and everyone that walked in the door. Felt like family.

I always stop in town when traveling between Texas and Florida. I love the food!

There are not enough words in the English language to explain how amazing miss Rita is. Her staff is genuine and her food is always on the point!!

I seen Mamma Rita ontv and was so excited to try it out. My 3 co-workers and I decided to try it.. Sadly, enough it was not a good experience by any means. There was only one waitress and that was Mamma Rita herself. She was a very nice & personable person. They were out of bacon, diet coke, onion rings, tater tots and more. We all decided to get a burger and fries. The burger looked like a frozen pattie from Sam's that had been cooked on a BBQ pit for over an hour. I was able to tap it on my plate and it made a noise. We had to put our own mayo,, mustard and ketchup on our burgers out of packets.. we had to ask for salt, pepper, straws and napkins. I won't even go into the chaos of trying to check out. . It was so chaotic in there, that when we left, we felt like we just got off of a roller coaster and needed a strong drink. Mamma Rita seemed like a great lady but needs to get her stuff together. If it was just one thing that happened, I would try again but it was just too much. We won't be going back. . . I went to lunch to relax and it was anything but that. Sorry Mamma Rita

I saw on KPLC where they had just re-opened at their new location atRita's Creole Family Kitchen (the old Chastain's).3922 Ryan Street. So I recommended to some friends that we try them out. I’m going to keep it short, Please don’t waste your time or money.
