Waitress had to be told 3x to bring water to the table…ordered the sliders and was asked to pick a cheese since the one on the menu was out…sliders with fries came out cold, dry, and no cheese at all…when the waitress brought the checks, she individually asked for everyone to tell her what they ordered including beer and how many….this happened on a Monday night when business was pretty slow. I will not be back.

Great food and service! We sat outside and enjoyed the live music!

Over all ok 3rd time there great experience the 1st the 2nd I called before heading there stoped at the indoor bar and was told to go the outside bar that was the only open. Get to the bar and was told they were closed you would figure they employees would know closing time. Third time was ok food was good service was great beer was not as cold as I prefer over all a better experience than the 2nd go around.

First time there. We were promptly seated and told that Lexi would be our server. It was around 1:00 pm and not very busy. We waited over 20 minutes before a nice server named Ava came and took our drink order since no one had waited on us yet. We requested to switch to Ava as our waitress. All was smooth after that. Food was okay-not bad but not great. Another party came in and sat next to us. They ended up walking out after about 15 minutes because no one waited on them.We were literally getting ready to walk out when Ava stopped at our table.I can’t recommend this place. We won’t go back.

The food is excellent, great vibes. The outside bar is dirty and worn down. No caps on the liquor bottles, dirty ashtrays on the bar. Bartender making drinks and touching fruits for drinks without washing hands after bussing tables and wiping sweat off his head. Waited 15 minutes after being sat at the bar for the bartender to make contact with me. Flys all over. Over an hour for my appetizer.

The food has consistently gone down hill since Rikenjaks has opened, BUT the atmosphere and the staff are always awesome. Drinks are great, people a great and it’s a great family oriented place with frequent live music either outside or inside. It’s on my recommend list but not if you’re looking for the best food in Lake Charles.I would like to see the food back up to standards I feel the establishment set originally. Thanks for reading!

I have tried to keep my negative experience private between me and the company. However, there is NO email address or contact info for Rikenjaks that I could easily find. My son attends McNeese and I was visiting Lake Charles from Kennedale, Texas (right near Arlington, Texas) and a old High School friend was in town (from Houston Area) practicing for the Lake Charles Symphony Orchestra upcoming performance. It was around 9pm on Saturday Night 4/30/2022. We stood at the entrance for about 5-10 minutes to even be greeted by a host. We were then seated... Of course we were talking continously catching up with each other.. meanwhile, 30 minutes past.. no drinks, no food, no contact at all.. We attempted to flag someone down, asking if they could get the assigned person to visit our table.. no luck.. after about 45 minutes of sitting, we got up and visited the bar ourself and purchased a beer (the bar tender was rather friendly).. meanwhile, our table was taken by another couple.. so we relocated at another table.. still no contact at all... was there nearly a hour and a half, no service at all.. I understand the shape Lake Charles is in, I understand the lack of employees, and other economic struggles facing the United States AND Lake Charles in particular. However, if you can not handle running a business, why open at all? I ALWAYS give the business the benefit of the doubt, but I think this one no longer gets the benefit..The place was not overly busy, nor were they completely dead... but I would say nearly all business was outside.. I saw no tables inside in use.. I have attempted to make contact with Rikenjaks via Facebook messenger.. no response.. I wouldn't take my chances at visiting Rikenjaks, there are other people that want your business..

One of us got a burger that was raw in the middle. When we asked, they said that was "how it was". Who serves raw hamburgers?? When they redid the burger, it was better but STILL pink. Then when we got the bill there was a "non cash adjustment" charge. When asked, one waiter couldn't explain what it was. Another said it was a credit card fee that they could remove, yet didn't. How is a credit card fee almost 4% of the bill?

Food is delicious and portions are plentiful Entertainment always fantastic Service exceptional if you ask for Mason, always friendly, fast, professional and courteous !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all fantastic..... :)

The atmosphere was good but waiting 2 hours for a couple sandwiches and some Mac N cheese was ridiculous. We got there before the rush and yet still waited for 2 hours to receive our food with no explanation as to why the long wait. Appetizers we good, Main course was ok. Not worth the price paid.
