Even when the seating was few due to large parties from graduation, we were able to sit at the sushi bar right away. I had sobe noodles and the flavor was on point. Most all the sushi is great! Princess roll tastes great even tho i would not have chosen it by looks. And customers in the hibachi area were having a great time as we heard the chef say“Open your mouth girl!”
Not many choices in Lake Charles for teppanyaki or hibachi so this place is unique. Food and service were great.
Entire family ate hibachi and got food poisoning including a toddler Saturday night. Will not be returning. I feel sorry for all the high school kids who were eating here for prom. That probably didn’t end well.
Always put on a good show and always great food. Only problem was that it looked as if they were short on hibachi cooks. They were bein run ragged but still doin a great job
Every entertaining, great service, excellent food. Most tender steak I'd ever eaten. Tasty too.
Good nice restaurant
Very poor efforts by the restaurant and cook. We had a larger party, 6 kids and 8 adults, but had no trouble getting seated. However, that's where things went south. Apparently, there were only 3 cooks on a Cajun holiday where all of lake Charles and the surrounding areas come together for Mardi gras parades.We were seated before 7, but didn't have our meal complete until 2 hours later. Each item came out 10 -15 minutes apart to where we couldn't eat all at one time.Portions were small, rice was burnt, and there was no such thing as medium rare. We ended up the last ones there closing up the restaurant at about 930 or later.Next time, they should be prepared for Mardi gras and have enough chefs qualified for the job.
Usually service is great but there are times when it takes a good while for your food and before yall crazies start griping and how it must have been packed and im just complaining no that's not the case my last visit the restaurant was almost empty yet it took ages before evn our drinks were taken but other than the inconsistencies in service quality it is a great place to eat and go on a lil dinner date or what have you food is great prices are lower than they used to be and serving size on some of the rolls are huge have a good yall and enjoy the food
My family loves the food and atmosphere at Kyoto in Lake Charles. The chefs are entertaining and the food is great! We are never disappointed!
We had a party of 14 people at the hibachi and only one chef. It would have been better to have had 2 chefs so everyone could have ate together. 1/3 if the people had already eaten their food before thre chef came back to start on the rest of our parties food.
