I understand being busy, especially at breakfast time, but some courtesy would be nice. No one ever acknowledged our presence, wait staff left tables a mess that could be used to seat the half dozen people that waited. I was willing to sit at the bar, but decided to respect the sign that said "please don't seat yourself at dirty tables, let staff seat you" and wait for the staff to clear them, but apparently that sign is non enforced as several people forced their way past after I entered to sit at dirty bar seats and they were immediately served. I can do better going to Waffle House.
Breakfast eggs were great. Bacon tasted better than it looked. Hash browns were burned. Service was ok but they never refilled my coffee cup. Restrooms were filthy. The price was very nice. Will not go back.
Great food!! Very filling! Would definitely eat there again and again!
Simply put, one of the best spots in Lake Charles, especially if you want to a hearty meal for breakfast or a late night fill up. There's usually a crowd, but don't let that deter you from sticking around. I've met several interesting people over the years by waiting, or even sitting with them.I normally opt for breakfast items. The Rafferty is my "go to" the majority of the time. Don't let the description intimidate you. It's amazing. Of course I may be a little biased since I'm 99.9% sure me and a friend were the first to order this, long before it made it to the menu. But there's several other menu options and specials that's sure to satisfy your cravings. And save some room for some pancakes.
Very small diner, seats around 40-50 patrons so go early or be prepared to wait. Breakfast was really good, homemade biscuits and Gravy are top notch. Staff is friendly. Prices are really good.
It was kind of an old-timey coffee shop of the 1960's-70's - at least that was the feel. The service was a little slow but the food was good and the staff was nice.I dont play video poker, so I can't speak as to their gaming parlor, but its a good place to get all day breakfast.
Small, unassuming corner restaurant with a big breakfast punch. Biscuits are excellent, service was super. Skip the big chain...head to KD's!
We ordered food waited over 10 minutes for the food . Waiter came with wife's food and to inform me they had to make more gravy and that would be 15 to 20 minutes if I cared to order anything else instead of informing me at time order was placed instead of after one entree was brought out ... THE PURPOSE OF GOING EAT out is to eat together not 30 minutes apart ....
Stopped here a while ago. I had roast beef Po-boy while family had breakfast items. Everything was great. Can’t wait to get back
Went here for breakfast this morning. Lots of locals waiting on the front porch drinking coffee and having conversation before it even opened. You know it’s a good place :-) I got served right away it was a good breakfast good atmosphere lots of locals having a good time I would recommend it to everyone. Brad
