I didn’t have a good experience with IHOP at Lake Charles. They didn't justify to their brand name.I went there for breakfast, but no one was there to greet at the front desk. I had to check myself in. I then ordered pancakes and chicken tenders.Whenever they were serving, I noticed, the chicken tender fell out of the plate on the kitchen table, that guy picked it up with bare hand, put back in and served it to me. After I told the server about the incident, she changed it with another order.The chicken was very overcooked, the meat was not very dry and hard. The pancake was not fluffy or soft. Terrible experience. I wouldn’t go this branch again.
Have to say that this is hands down the worst ihop we have ever been to. The wait after being seated quickly, was horrible. Almost an hour for food. Food was cold when received, and the hashbrowns were the star of the plate. Went for the pancakes and couldn't eat them because they were hard. And I wasn't about to send them back, it would have been another hour wait. The waitstaff was mediocre at best. Very loud and complaining about who has what tables, calling other team members ignorant. And not exactly sure where a manager was. ? I certainly do not like to complain, but my goodness this place needs help. Oh, forgot to mention that restaurant 101 is that you should not have personal drinks in the kitchen/prep area, well the person cooking certainly did not get that memo. Was seated to where I was able to look into to kitchen and there he was, drinking from a cup with no lid right over the prep counter across from the grill!!Stay away from here!
1 Star and that is ONLY because our server was good about checking on us but thats where the praise stops.Waited 50 minutes to get our food,we arrived a little after noon but the place was less than half full(which i found extremely odd for a Sunday) my husband ordered t bone med-rare and eggs which comes with pancakes and i ordered chicken strips with honey mustard dipping sauce which comes with fries,when the food finally comes to the table the steak was pretty much well done,no syrup for pancakes.My chicken was dry and instead of fries there was a stack of 4 pancakes. All the customers were complaining, two different parties cancled their orders and left. you could hear the "workers"in the kitchen laughing and playing aroundWAS NOT WORTH $37Don't think we'll go back. VERY DISAPPOINTED ?

We had a great waitress named Terri. She was so spot on. The staff was in a great mood. I was customer service for 45 years and this Crew is the best. We will be back many times . Thank you for a great experience!!!
Decided to have breakfast for dinner.Upon entering we found out they were doing take out only due to no servers showing up for evening shift.I asked Shaquille if we could stay and have him wait on us, he checked with mgmt. and seated us.Food was great but Shaquille was amazing. Thank you Shaq for not making us drive my 90 year old mother to another restaurant. ☆☆☆☆☆..
Our server was perfect. She didn't hover but was always there when we needed extra napkins or a touch up on the drinks. The food was good but tbh, my omelet was a bit overdone. I would eat here again, if I had the opportunity.
It was horrible. Had my 2year old grandbaby with me when I went and the Wait 4 a table I was told was going be 10-15 min and it was 45mins later my grandbaby was not wanting to be there no longer. They finally call us and we was put in a broken booth. I hurry and put our order in 1hour later the food comes out grand daughter falling asleep. I told her dont drink her drink to wait tell her food get there so it was water down a hour later. My eggs came out wrong, pancake to dark and very small, girts watery, hashbrowns not cook together and all over plate.
If I could rate it a negative I would. 3rd time in a row that this place is filthy, absolutely no organization and employees hanging out instead of seating customers. The last time we were actually seated and waited 40mins for ANYONE to come to the table and noone came so we left.
The server Marie was awesome but the food was cold! We waited 45 minutes for gravy that was suppose to come with the meal. The manager has no business in this position! When we were here in December 2021 she told us she had been promoted from server to manager.... the owner of this IHOP should reconsider her being a manager. Instead of taking one of the meals off the bill since we never got the gravy that came with it she gave us a 10% senior discount! We aren't seniors! This was our go to for breakfast when in LC but we won't ever go back! FYI there were 20 people in the whole restaurant and 12 of them had already eaten. She never took responsibility for the kitchen issue she said it wasn't her fault! It is her fault for not keeping an eye on the back of the house. Disappointing and epic failure!
