Great place, but breakfast not sustainable! Plastic knife and fork, plastic cup, plastic glass, plastic plate!!! bad experience for customer ( bendable cutlery) and VERY bad for the planet. Remenber we have no planet 2! Please change it to durable products, it will be nicer and easier to eat and improve the customer journey
The staff went above and beyond to help me with a lost item. Check in was very efficient and any request we had during our stay was welcomed by the staff. The location is convenient to upscale dining.
The Check in was okay. Only one bellman. I moved my own luggage to the floor. Buffet staff was very rude. Only two elevators working. No water in the room for Diamond status members. No bar or food available on Sunday.
We chose to stay in Lafayette to break our long drive from New Orleans to Galveston and chose this hotel as it seemed to be the best on offer. When we arrived during lunchtime, we were told our room wasn’t ready, but they told us their shuttle would drop us at a nearby restaurant and collect us when we had finished lunch. On our return around 3pm, the reception staff had changed shifts and when we tried to check in, we were told that the type of room we had booked was unavailable (we booked last November), but we could have another smaller room….totally unsuitable as we are on a four week long driving tour and have lots of luggage. Immediately, the Night Manager, Bill, said that he would sort something for us. Imagine our delight when he took us up to one of the suites….it was enormous! Although the hotel doesn’t have a large dining room (food is served at the bar), the two girls who served us on separate nights were so friendly and efficient, as was Tara who was on duty at breakfast time. There is nothing fancy about this hotel, but the staff are among the nicest we have met on this trip.
Rooms and public areas badly needed maintenance. Paint was peeling on bathroom ceiling and wall. Room smelled musty. Sanitizer stations were located throughout the common areas but all were empty during our 2-day stay. This hotel is not up to Hilton corporate standards. I do not recommend this property.
Terrible! Got a bone in my second bite of gumbo. The flavor was off and it had huge pieces of chicken that couldn’t be eaten with a spoon. Got the shrimp poboy to go and got no napkins or condiments. Fries were soggy and shrimp poboy had zero sauce or flavor. Waitress was sweet and attentive so I gave it one star. Food was VERY disappointing!
The food was amazing and the girls r fantastic server
The good: it was clean, and the bed as ok. The bad: way past its prime; broken furniture, missing fixtures, very weird a/c, poor ventilation in bathroom. Staff were uneven; checkin fine, breakfast a shambles. All in all we’ll give this a miss.
Elevators and housekeeping both were broken because my room was never serviced and the elevators were so ridiculously slow and I kept getting harassed on my check out day I clearly had do not disturb on the day of checkout which they woke me up and I had a late checkout which was at 1pm and they kept knocking on my door and one even opened the door when I was getting dressed
We were here for a conference. The hotel was very clean on presentation. There were 4 meals provided in the banquet room and the wait staff was awesome. All of them were very friendly and attentive. There was once during the day that the womens restroom needed attention and when they were informed about it they got right on it. The gym was nice. Only issue is there as one elevator not working and the hotel looked to be full. Wait lines for elevator were longer than expected.
