Outstanding as always!

Server and food was good to very good. I would have given overall a 4.5 or better; however, I was unexpectedly charged for using a card instead of cash. I noticed nothing in the front of the restaurant or anywhere else stating this policy. On a large bill, this equated to another meal. So, we had a great experience, then it was hurt at the end.

Had three appetizers that were all delicious, and the server recommended a drink called “when pigs fly”, a great alternative to a whiskey sour, definitely try it. Our food was amazing, and we are never disappointed.

Visiting from Texas. First time eating at the restaurant. Excellent experience!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Lafayette. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Lafayette.

We were a foursome dining for lunch on a Saturday. The hostess was pleasant and the restaurant is decorated nicely. Our waitress, Ashlie, was not the most energetic person working in the restaurant. Luckily, she only had one other table. We ordered water and a bottle of wine. We also ordered three appetizers for the table to share. Green tomatoes, fiesta fries, and biscuits and honey. Ashlie opened and poured two glasses on wine since only two of us were drinking alcohol. Appetizers arrived. All were okay but not anything that we would distinctly return to eat. We placed our order for entrees. Steak and fries, mushroom flatbread, tomato flatbread, and house salad with steak. Wine glasses are empty at this point and Ashlie does nothing. About ten minutes later, she returns to remove some of the appetizer dishes. At this point, we pour the wine for ourselves. She returns to remove the rest of the appetizer dishes. I then tell her that she can also take the wine bottle since it is empty-I have poured the wine. She states that she will be back in a few minutes with more water and will take the bottle then. Water arrives and bottle is removed. Entrees arrive. Steak and fries and salad with steak are worth returning to eat once again. Both flatbreads were considered disappointing. Ashlie returns to remove the dishes and bring the tab. When you receive your tab, make sure to read the type at the very bottom of the paper. You will be charged 4% for all “non-cash” payments. We could not find this posted anywhere on the menu and it was not mentioned by the waitress. This four percent addition was absurd on our tab. The restaurant had already received $50 profit on our bottle of wine and then we tipped $19 on that bottle of wine for Ashlie to open it and pour two glasses. We will not be returning since overall this was not an experience that was shared by our party and the restaurant. This was the restaurant and staff abusing a patron.

Such a quaint and calming establishment. Our waitress was super attentive, very knowledgeable and a great help with deciding what to get. I will definitely be returning when in the area.
