The restaurant is very nice food was great however the amount of time we waited to get the food was horrible! This was a Tuesday night it wasnt busy at all! The order came out it was WRONG all I had was a Caesar salad I ordered a small and was charged for a large! Then waited 25 minutes for Caesar dressing for the salad. The drinks was ok. The setting was nice. The server asked everyone if everything was ok (NOT ME)once he handed us our tickets to pay once he returned he asked one person again if everything was okay because she told him keep the change and it was only $1.00 but there was more money on the table for his tip as well! Romacelli in River Ranch could NEVER get my service again
Service by Austin was great. Restaurant is so clean and decor fancy. The drink menu is extensive but pricy if paying full price. I loved the Bee Sting. The Cham-wow was chaw awful for me but others like it. Food is ok. Not what I expected for the price. I def recommend going during the day, sharing a pizza and enjoying half priced cocktails in a cool atmosphere.
Place was not busy(only 2 tables) pizza was cold...had 2 ask 3 times 4 my toddlers spaghetti & meatballs...Staff was eatting in eyeview of kitchen..service by nick was terrible Also had 2 ask several times 4 a.2 go box 4 my cold leftovers..
We stopped in last Wednesday and had a wonderful dinner! Michael was a delight to speak with, although we might have gotten him in trouble with our visiting. I hope we didn't. His advice on wine selection was on points and the food was excellent!
This was a slap in the face. I do not understand how this place has 4.3 stars (at time of writing). I am going to be honest:I'm not saying it wasn't edible. I had two slices of their pizza because I was famished—but good lord, what insult to injury. What I got was a piece of bread with some cheese and tomato paste stacked on top. I could barely find the basil. Or the sauce for that matter. This was a real-life cartoon drawing of a pizza.I have tried Romacelli's main dishes twice before and the food was pleasant... but this time I am so far from impressed that I can only wonder just how I got tricked into paying $18 for what looks like a depression meal. How does a Margherita pizza on cauliflower crust with 3 ingredients come out looking and tasting like a Lunchable, y'all? Is this restaurant a front? Not every dish on the menu has to be a Michelin hit, but gaddamn! This was near a theft experience.TLDR: Your mileage may vary. Not falling for it next time.
I stumbled upon this place by sheer accident. The atmosphere is crisp and inviting. The service is attentive and kind. I tried the spinach dip and the seasoning was a bit over powering. However, the bolganese was the absolute best I've ever eaten. It's rich hearty flavor topping perfectly cooked noodles was such a delight. Will stop again when I come back to Lafayette.
Really good Italian food and drink are amazing too! Serves were perfect! Great place for any special ovations or if you just want good Italian food
I have lived in Lafayette for a long time but had never visited this restaurant. Did not seem like my kind of restaurant, frankly. A friend recently became general manager, and we know that he is extremely knowledgeable about food and especially good wine (a certified sommelier - I have learned how important that can be to a good meal as I am clueless except as to what a wine I try tastes like). So we took a shot. The food was superb. The filet is one of the best in town. I hate salmon, but my wife loves it and said this was one of the best she's tasted. The burrata appetizer is awesome! And the leeks and peas side is absolutely delicious. The wine selection leave something ot be desired, but the new GM is definitely bringing that up a few notches slowly but surely. The first time we went was on a Wednesday night and it was fine. Bad acoustics in the space but manageable. We went back and there was live music, which we now understand is the norm except for Wednesday nights. It was not loud: it was deafening ...so much so that we had to move to outside seating. We will be back, but only on Wednesday nights until and if the volume issue is resolved.
Terrible service. Was greeted by bar server and immediately served a glass of water. Nice!! Placed order for a drink. Server accepted my credit card for payment and returned to me for signature. NO DRINK Yet. It was sitting in the service area as she then moved to other customers. Finally had to get the manager to give me my drink. About 2 hours later, asked to payout my tab for my friend and I, She took my credit card and disappeared. Saw her on a phone walking out side so went to ask about my card and bill; was told it was inside. That did it for me. NO TIP when the other server brought my bill. Manager offered something, maybe a gift card; told him “no thanks” “ I won’t be back”.
Side salad was extremely peppered andWas charged 6 dollars for it when not told it was a up charge. Pita bread basket was very low when brought to the table then told we would have to order another one for more main dish was very peppered it was supposed to be spicy but I had got it before with no issues this time to hot to finish.
