Found this gem near our hotel. So much to chose from! Grabbed breakfast quickly and returned later in the day just before close to get something for Monday since they are closed on Mondays. Only disappointment is that they were out of the delicious chocolate croissants on Tuesday - those were my favorite. Black & White was another favorite. Will definitely return next time in Lafayette!
Pouparts Bakery is fine place to dine and work. They have excellent staff that serve your every bakery need. From baked bread to king cakes I promise you'll wanna recommend them to your friends and family.
I have been purchasing here since I was a kid. Still love this place every bit as I did when I was young. They have added a few extra but delicious new items. Never sorry for entering this place.
While I’ve lived in the Lafayette area for most of my life, it was not until today during a food tour that I’ve tried it out. We had their king cake with a blueberry filling and it was the best king cake I have ever tried (and as an Acadian, I have tried many). While we were there, we also had to buy a few of their beautifully decorated cakes and desserts. If you can walk out of there without a bag of treats, you have some seriously strong self control. The staff was very friendly and this has become my favorite bakery.
Such a beautiful cafe. Everything is handmade in an immaculate kitchen.. I got the pleasure of seeing how everything is done.. absolutely beautiful.. staff is incredibly kind.. I will be returning every chance I get.. I highly recommend!!
I’m going to miss this place so much when I have to move!
Super friendly staff, amazing selection of pastries and baked goods. We ordered our wedding and grooms cakes this weekend and I had such a great experience
Your Bakery is amazing! The selection of items was numerous and SO tempting. We had the King Cake, it was great!
Wow! Incredible selection from pastry to bread and pre packaged soups. I got the Chantilly cupcake that had blackberries, raspberries and blueberries along with a chocolate dome pastry and both were incredible. Hubby had a pecan pie and cannoli and loved both. Too bad we live in NH!
Ordered a 7 inch black forest cake similar to the one from the portal game.( aka a full brown cake) was completely shell shocked when I was greeted with a white colored cake. The woman at the register was sweet and understood my concern said thats how they normally make them, she offered me a 10% discount but when she typed in the price she said they had made a 8 inch ( a ten dollar difference) after all of that they were willing to still work with me. Which I highly appreciated, if you are coming to buy already pre-made cakes and desserts I highly reccomend, but when it comes to ordering you have to be VERY SPECIFIC.Now I was still willing to buy the cake and try it out. With such limited time I didnt have much of a choice. So I bought it and served it at the party. Now I wouldn't have bothered to make a post after all the kindness I received when it came to the pricing, but the taste of the cake was a completely different matter. After unboxing it I noticed a very definite tilt to the cake. The cherry filling on the top was 100% out of a can, and there was no cherry liquor anywhere in the cake, which is the biggest point of a black forest cake. Hence the name. The cake itself tasted like just plain chocolate cake. I could have gotten the same quality at rouses for the same price. The final straw was that they didn't ask for the color of the frosting, and decided that a green font on a red black and white cake was alright. Not to mention the sibling I got it for doesn't know how to read cursive so the entire font was a loss to him.The frosting was tasty if not a bit too much. All in all I wont be ordering a cake from them, but I will be enjoying their amazing pastries. The French cheesecake and tarts are top quality!
