My wife loves the cream cheese filled donuts as well as the giant cinnamon rolls. Kolaches are good too. I tend to get the glazed and the cake donuts. I haven't had good donut like this and do travel a bit. I like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin but Meche's is my favorite.
Visiting Lafayette from Texas. First time here and the kolachies and the glazed donuts were awesome! We will definitely be back!

They gave my son milk that expired 9 days previous. The boudin kolaches were raw. The roast beef kolache was burned. The young man who waited on us was amazing. It was just the food that was horrendous and unedible.
I'm from Texas where Krispy Kreme is the best in the donut game, but when I tasted the original glaze here I knew I had to have it again. When we came back to Louisiana I had to get some, but this time they were hot! OMG they were even better than the first time I had them! These donuts are so thick & sweet! My new fav when I'm in the Boot!

Usually the king cakes are full of filling, however this chocolate one we purchased had about 5 tiny pockets of chocolate that my family fought over. It was harder to find the chocolate that it was to find the baby! Will go to Guilbeau location next time.
