Plate lunches are off the chain! You walk in, order, they prepare it, and bring it to your table. Quickly. They also offer a full menu of poboys, sandwiches, and many other great food items and they have a cheerful staff too!
Down home groceries. If you like local cultural food, come on down. Meatball stew, shrimp poboy, gumbo fit the bill. Plan to be in line at noon

Living here in Lafayette since 2015 but being from Arkansas my taste buds were in for a shock. I love the food here but sometimes it’s a bit warm for me. The Lunchbox never disappoints my tastebuds. Seasoned just to perfection. I love this place and recommend it to anyone looking for a great home cooked meal!
The food is soooo good here. Service is awesome. Place your order wayyy before 2 o'clock because they close at 2. :)
