We enjoyed dinner at Luna's based on a friend's recommendation and weren't disappointed. The restaurant has a relaxed music themed vibe and was full but not crowded on a Friday night. We started with cocktails - a Pearl Jam and a Jerry Garcia and an appetizer of fried cheese. I had the hanger steak topped with crawfish tails and a cream sauce with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The food was all good but a bit slow to come out. We definitely enjoyed our meal and I would come again.
Yummy! Fish was decent. Avocado darkened from the hot fish and shrimp. Ordered through Waitr….I’m sure it would have been even better to have from here directly…without the hour wait with Waitr ? Definitely need to go inside and enjoy fresh! Very creative and tasty dishes!
Their food is amazing. It has a unique flair, refreshing to see.We go during brunch. The Avery Cohen Jazz Trio band plays for brunch. They are AMAZING!! They play loungey/fusion jazz covers many different types of songs. Very talented group. It's hard to find a band like this in a restaurant in Lafayette. It's the perfect lounge/private party music.
Delicious lunch date! We split the crab dip and a sandwich. We were both full and had leftovers! Lots of music posters as part of the cool ambiance.
The food was good and prices were good. The drinks were also good. Our party had fish, steak, shrimp sandwich, and a couple of appetizers. The service was top notch.
Drinks are awesome, and live music is always fun without being obnoxiously loud. Food could use a little more spice and sandwich menu more variety - not more options, just options that are more than just a different protein with same veges. No doubt, we'll be back.
I wandered over from Biergarten on the spur of the moment and had the Redfish Apollo, almost at random. It was superb: not too light, not too heavy. The atmosphere is interesting, particularly the framed concert posters scattered throughout the dining room. Easy access from Jefferson St. and directly from the parking garage behind the restaurant. I look forward to returning to Luna and bringing others with me.
Price was fair for the vibe and quality of the place and food. Server was very attentive and fried green beans were awesome. Bartender was a little slow with the specialty cocktails so if you were to visit during peak hours definitely stick to traditional cocktails if you have an issue with waiting.
We enjoyed our visit! Luna has a great atmosphere with super friendly staff. The food and drinks are delicious. For artwalk they had a great female singer!
We went after the Jim Gaffigan show last Friday, around 9. Food was great and service was good. Only complaint I had was the live band was really loud and there was no place to sit away from it. It was a little disappointing because we went in for dinner and conversation but it was hard to hear. But again, the food was great.
