Very laid back…..really really clean restaurant. There greens has a real fresh taste. I am very picky about my food but, I must say if your looking for real good authentic louisiana food, this is the place and the price is reasonable.
Food was amazing! We had good service The Man In Charge felt like a long lost uncle he was kind and hilarious. It was one of the best soul food restaurants I have been to! We enjoyed the music and the Cozy setting we will definitely be back
I love this place. I just went on this past Saturday July 16th for the grand opening of inside dining. They had been closed inside for the past 2 years due to the pandemic & was only offering drive through & patio dining. Well the opening was amazing & the food was off the charts. Also they are now Lumberjack’s Soul Food Bar & Grill. So not only do they offer great food & excellent service, but now you can sit at the bar & relax & have your favorite adult beverages & watch TV. It’s a great atmosphere & I loved every moment. But don’t take my word for it, go & check it out for yourself. You’ll be glad you did. Take it from me “A HAPPY CUSTOMER “.
I really don't know where to start but I guess on a positive note I can start off with this so I called to place two orders of baked chicken with rice and sides of macaroni and corn on yesterday . This was our first time ordering from this place. Upon opening the 1st plate lunch we noticed the baked chicken wasn't in the 1st plate now that was particularly my fault bc I should have gotten the person who picked up our food to check the food prior but I didn't, but that was the least of our worries. Upon opening the 2nd plate lunch to our surprise we had a whole screwdriver in the plate!!!! Yess a screwdriver people!!Also the baked chicken was not cooked fully you could literally still see red in it and the chicken was white I'm never the thrilled one to write a bad review unless my service was horrible but this was unacceptable! I called back requesting a full refund and he was nice about it and offered me free food but I declined because why would I want the food now bc it's free! It looked horrible and I had a dirty screwdriver in my food !So with that being said I will never again order food from here again ? oh and another thing to add we did get a refund and we returned the food back with the screwdriver his response was oh yea that's the screwdriver I was using to hold the napkins down it must have just rolled into the plate! Drive thru was a bit of a wait, but we ordered a plate of fried chicken so it was expected. I had the smothered oxtails, wife had the BBQ chicken, and fried chicken for the kids. Amazing. Corn dressing was incredibly well seasoned and moist. The gravy they make to cook the Oxtails is the best brown gravy in Lafayette. BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy with a kick of cayenne. Chicken had great bark and was smoked with love. Fried chicken was crispy and moist. We will definitely be back here!

The barbeque ribs were delicious and tender. The rest of the dinner was a lityle strong and rice dressing was not good. We brought an overpriced barbeque dinner .
If I could give zero stars I would. I called and was told that they had turkey wings in 1 hour, waited an hour and drove all the way from Broussard only to find out no turkey wings. I ordered baked chicken instead, it was horrible. I paid $13 for a baked leg quarter with soggy rice, soggy Mac and cheese, and the chicken tasted sour. Food looks nothing like the pictures. I stated to the owner that I didn't like anything and he went back inside. He had already had my money I guess. I threw the entire plate in the trash can. It's such a shame to be robbed like this during inflation times. Smh.
Ribs just bones cold mac n cheese cornbread dressing was not home made.i was surprised being this was elderly ppl. Never getting my business im from Lafayette i have a large family n friends and i will tell them donot get food there.the wait was so long. Omg??
I had the fried garfish plate. My garfish was fried too perfection!!! Golden just like, I like it.
