The environment was good. I had they version of quesa Burria. Every thing but the meat it self was good. The meat was a little dry. It was more like a roast that needed mash potatoes and gravy. It was good but not what I was expecting. The best version of this dish is at the food truck on university next to Kevin Seafood or El Zarape Tacos Y Gorditas ... I'll explore other dishes soon.
Stoycho was an amazing waiter and this restaurant was SO good! One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever eaten at and the Mexican food is so authentic! Definitely get the margaritas and the cheese dip too!
Great Mexican place downtown. They will custom make cocktails for you if you ask. The tacos are traditional style and you get two corn tortillas if you choose corn instead of flour tortillas. The chips are great. The guac was very fresh and it made me not miss San Diego tacos so much. Recommend.
Pineapple margaritas, the fresh ones with little bits of Pineapple!! So very good!! First adult beverage I have had in a long time and also first one I had upon returning to Louisiana. C'est bon!!!!
Fantastic food but the music was so loud we could barely hear each other across the table. It made for a less than ideal experience.
Food was tasty but order was wrong. Went for my birthday to enjoy a meal with friends. Called in advance to try to reserve a table. Was told that wasn't a option. Arrived early to ensure we would have a table. Hostess sat us after we told her the rest of the party wouldn't be there until 7:30, which didn't seem to be a problem. After being sat the waitress proceeded to tell us that they were slow and she wasn't making money so the restaurant was closing early. Although hours Clearly stated 9 pm. We were rushed throughour meal by our waitress which made us feel completely uncomfortable and unwanted. Every time the waitress returned to the table she made sure to tell us that they were trying to leave. Our checks were delivered 2 minutes after our food arrived. I couldn't enjoy my birthday. Will not be returning.
Best Tex-Mex in downtown Lafayette, hands down! The food is delicious, the staff is always quick and fun, and the margaritas are perfect.
Great Margaritas & food !!
My husband and I recently moved to Breaux Bridge, and we have been looking for an authentic and sophisticated Mexican restaurant. We found it at La Carreta. We have now been twice, and both times the food and service were EXCELLENT. To use my husband’s comment … “Superb!” And it was. This will be our go-to for Mexican food in the Lafayette area.
A good and laid back quick spot to eat. Had tacos and they were Fuego.
