Okay, y'all are amazing! We came in an hour before closing on a Friday afternoon and were treated like family and served some of the best food we had on our vacation. The payment system was down, so we were told that they would invoice us via email. The next morning, we returned to pay and grab breakfast before returning to Texas and we were told that a woman paid our bill for us! These are kind people serving delicious food and we will come back every time we're in town. Thank you for blessing us!
Y’all this place is OMG ridiculous AMAZING! It’s a must… it was so good I forgot a photo. I had boudin on a biscuit (heavenly) with an egg and cheese. Sister with brisket, husband had something with meat and potatoes, grits and a biscuit. All so amazing!!Oh and A MUST!!! Pimento and bacon jam sandwich. It should be illegal and you can buy some to take home.
Had the brisket. It was great! Small lunch portions. Wish I had more. Really tender and seasoned well.
I ordered the brisket plate. I enjoyed the brisket. For sides, I tried the potato salad, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The Mac and cheese was very tasty. I also had a boudin. Although it was difficult to eat the skin, the flavor was amazing.Of course I had to try the beignets but I thought they were alright. They turn into a soft, mush texture when eaten and chewed very easily. I think I prefer a chewier texture.Their customer service was also nice as they remade an order that someone in my group had when a mixup happened.
Enjoyed a great meal with friends from high school food was really really good fresh and hot. Would love to come again sometimes in the future.

Best barbecue in Lafayette. It's downtown close to the church. Very friendly and you eat out on the deck.
Pretty good. Had the Clay’s Way (Pulled Pork, Coleslaw, Extra BBQ Sauce) and a link (very tiny) of boudin. Sandwich was good. I wasn’t blown away by any means but good. The boudin was tasty. The spices in it are great. They forgot to put the sauce on my sandwich so I had to ask for some. No big deal. They were cool about it. I plan to return and try more of the menu.
We have eaten here twice and both times the food was great. Brisket and boneless ribs just fall apart!! Employees are very nice and polite. Even with a line still didn't take long to order and get your food. And most of all the bread pudding is to die for!!!
