We are from a town that doesn't have a hooters, so we usually go when we are out of town. This one is just meh. I realize Lafayette is a smaller town than say Houston, but it is definitely one of the lower ranked locations in my book. As we walked in, the hostess asked us booth or high top...a angry patron stormed out at that exact moment saying "dont sit at the [email protected]^g bar!" Our 9 year old had the privilege of witnessing this man child throw a hissy fit. The hostess apologized and said the bartender was new and didnt get his ticket fast enough (not sure why there was a new bartender on a busy Saturday night) Our Server last night was wonderful. She was very sweet and attentive. My fries weren't super fresh and my wing sauce was skimpy. But other than that, everything tasted good.
It was a great experience for being my first time ever eating there. Service was great and my food was excellent.
Hooters won't be around much longer sadly. Everything that was great about it, is non existing these days. No more Buffalo chicken quesadillas, which was the second best thing they've ever had on the menu. No more history, memorabilia, no more sports collectibles hanging on the wall, no atmosphere of an enjoyable sports eatery... the building feels like an empty shell of a fake restaurant now. But, to top it off, they have removed the BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP from the menu!!! That was hands down the best thing on the menu. My wife and I literally used to go to hooters just for this appetizer and margaritas. Will no longer be going to hooters, everything we enjoyed about the experience has been taken away. If you just want beer and chicken wings at its very minimum, with workers that don't even know what is on the menu, then give it a try.
The food was fresh and hot. Limited help so a little on the slower side. Not a good place if you are on a schedule. Otherwise, it's a good place to chill.
Always great food & service! My fav place to get wings!
Great food, and can't beat the service, it was kind of cold with the AC but I'm 70 so probably most people didn't notice it, great place to spend your money.
I remember when Hooters would stress the importance of the girls and their safety. What I saw at Hooters last Friday night was the exact opposite of that. The manager on duty had dark hair and had a huge dip in, which is wildly unprofessional and frankly, gross. The girls all seemed happy for the most part, but the way that manager was looking at them made me sick to my stomach. I believe all Hooters should have at least one female manager to prevent this from happening. He was staring at one blonde girl like she was a piece of meat and was making disrespectful jokes towards the other staff. He was acting like a teenage boy. I love Hooters, I used to work at one back in college! But I would NEVER allow my daughter to work for that manager. Truly disappointing! And I heard this is a new management staff? Get a newer one. This should not be tolerated anywhere, especially not Hooters.
This restaurant is disgusting. I work in the restaurant industry, so anytime I go to other restaurants, I make a point to look around at their wait stations, bathrooms, and peek into their kitchens when I get a chance. The wait stations are filthy. The walls behind them have black and brown stains all over them, like they haven’t been deep cleaned in months. I was sitting near the kitchen and peeked in every time a girl walked out. The floors were soaking wet, and there was raw chicken on the ground. The girl’s shoes are supposed to be white, but their soles were stained with the same black and brown hue I saw in the wait stations. To be completely honest, the bathrooms were the cleanest part of the restaurant, and even that is a stretch. It smelled like pee in there, the mirror and sink were disgusting, and it looked like nobody had disinfected in there in a very long time. I would say something about the food, but there was no convincing me to try it after seeing the condition of where it was prepared. Our waitress was also completely rude towards us , but I’d be rude if I had to work in fifth, too. Easily the worst Hooters I’ve ever been too, wouldn’t eat here again if my life depended on it.
We were stuck at a table near the rest rooms. Food was ok. Probably won't go back.
Katie was my most awesome server. The food was good as always but the servers are what make hooters so enjoyable they are friendly and always in a cheerful mood.
