I should have tried the chicken. Catfish was small cut up nuggets and the tarter sauce was old and smelled like straight vinegar. Mashed potatoes was probably instant box potatoes. They were runny and I guess inflation had them serving bite-sized rolls. Not worth the price. Stick to Popeyes Chicken.

Last time we spent a week in Lafayette was pre-Covid and we loved our stop and Fat Alberts… that time was 5 stars. This time, not so great. The chicken didn’t have flavor and the breading was over cooked and hard. The ultimate fires (yes their menu has fries misspelled multiple times) were bland and covered in cheap cheese sauce. We were sadly disappointed overall.

I am so glad I came across this restaurant! Fresh & hot made when you place order. Best fried chicken I've had in Lafayette yet. Menu has alot of variety. And decent prices.

Fat Albert's Under this new management/ownership has won over my stomach and heart. ❤️ Should take me a while before I work my way through the complete menu. Those rolls are exceptionally great! Try a dozen!

we had the fried fish and it was not as good as it once was. although edible i would not go out of my way to dine there.

Really get your money's worth and some. Tried the shrimp with a small order of catfish...Hubby tried wing combo. Food was well seasoned and served hot. Staff was very polite which is always a plus....

My daughter and I wanted a liver basket today. We had not been there for some time because we were disappointed the last time we went there. I must say the lady that took our order was very nice and checked on our order when she thought we were waiting too long. Oh, our liver baskets were delicious.

I always go to Fat Albert's when I am in Lafayette, La. Their fried chicken livers are really good. Their hush puppies are good, too. And their biscuit/roll is actually pretty good, too. Made when you order it. Good place.

I am in the infant stages of trying all the wonderful eats in my new neighborhood of Lafayette, LA. I'm pretty confident that most of the peeps reading my review has had the joy of eating something that instantly has made them dance in sheer delight just by taste of their food. You know what I mean. ?Fat Albert's Fried Chicken has my heart from now on until eternity! Never will I ever seek fried chicken at a chain to get my fix for out of this world, scrumptious, juicy, on point seasoned batter and perfectly fried chicken. It's all about the little things in life! And of course the mash potatoes and gravy.

Your chicken is salty ur service is poor !! I been going there for over 30 years !!! Never will I ever return for that chicken!!!!! Good bye and good luck !! Wish that I could get my money back but was to far to turn around!!!! ?
