Food was pretty spicy. My mom asked for a milder sauce and she got the regular (and spicier) sauce instead. Our server didn't seem to listen well and took a while for us to get straws or all our silverware.
The jalapeno ranch is my favorite dip here. The blackberry margarita was so refreshing and you can tell they use real black berries! I ordered the nachos Pancho and it was good, but I prefer the quesadilla.
Love their fajitas, chicken & beef. The fried fish tacos are awesome. I also like the chicken quesadillas. The chips & ranch dip is SO GOOD. Sometimes a line to get in, but worth waiting for.We usually eat there twice a week. We just can't help it, it draws us in. There's a new manager that is so helpful & friendly. His name is Cam & is Extremely NICE. We love all things TexMex. We've been going to Chuy's in Houston for years, so we were very excited to hear that Lafayette was going to have one. Our favorite waiter is B.J. He is very nice & always goes above & beyond his customer service to everyone. F.Y.I., if you get cold easy, bring a light sweater or jacket. Many people do this & it's worth it, to get to eat there. They are not the only restaurant that keeps it COOL. If you haven't been there yet, give it a try, you will notice a big difference. Also, they make their own tortilla shells. They are tender & fresh. You can watch them being made as you walk in.
Food was cold and not even close to authentic. Might as well stick your thumb in your mouth for the same taste.
The green dip is very good. I was full from the chips and dip before my food came. I had the Tacos al Carbon and the dish was good. Not the best Mexican I have ever eaten, but definitely not the worst. The beans are good, rice is ok. Dinner pals got the combo fajitas to share and liked them. Another got queso with ground meat. And this is going to sound strange, but they have the best water. It's also the perfect temperature. It must be cold and then they add ice. The crazy thing is, another person in my party said this out loud before I did? Also, I wish I could remember his name, but I can't. Possibly the best waiter I've ever encountered in a restaurant. He kept our drinks full and split the check perfectly. This was impressive because I wanted to pay for my mom's meal, but she had shared a plate with two others. With a quick explanation, off he went. I was expecting the check just to be split down the middle... NOPE- He split just that meal in thirds then added my meal. Wow!
Limited menu. Excellent flavors.
The atmosphere was inviting with interesting decor. The hostess and waiters/waitresses were friendly and attentive. They had a thirst quenching alcoholic lemonade. A varity of appetizing dips with handmade tortilla chips and entrees were piping hot and delicious. No mandatory masks so enjoy with company.
The food and service were great. Ordered the Comida Deluxe and it came the kichen out sooner than I anticipated. Will definitely come back to enjoy Happy Hour specials.
easily accommodated our group of 9 and Taylor took great care of us. The chips are made of fresh fried tortillas and served with fresh salsa and creamy Jalapeño dip. All the food was served hot and fresh.
Came around 2 in the afternoon on 2/23/22: my first time at this Tex-Mex eatery and will be the LAST.Great customer service from the waitress/hostess; however, the food was not good in my opinion. It is advertised as though it is some Premium Tex-MX chain, but...1. The salsa was tasting like poison. If you can imagine eating salsa that may taste like you're ingesting ant poison--that was pretty much my experience.2. Enchiladas ordered: very sub-par.I ordered a groundbeef one and cheese enchilada Just in case that beef wasn't too good...I figured the cheese one would get me through until I found something better to eat later.3. Strawberry Rita: by far the worst strawberry rita I ever tasted.4. Chicken fajitas--dinner date enjoyed it. Personally...I won't return for any of this food.$47.00 down the drain, and the food I ordered...straight to the dog's food bowl. What's going on with the folks in Lafayette? Have your taste buds been damaged by Covid that badly that you all no longer know what good processed food franchises should taste like?10/10 on the decor of the place!
