The food was good,, but much too long a wait. (45 minutes). The music is too loud and is not conducive to atmosphere for lunch. Sounds much like a night club atmosphere.

My friend invited me to Callahan's Restaurant and it was my first time eating there and I was impressed not only with the food, but with the dining, the wait staff and owner. I ordered the shrimp pasta with mustard greens, served with cornbread and had bread pudding for dessert. Everything was right on point, so delicious, and seasoned perfectly. The bread pudding with pecans just melted in my mouth. The atmosphere is so pleasant and inviting with great music for every cultural background. I will definitely be eating there again.

Loved the Fish Sandwich & Fries! Fish tasted like my Uncle Ted's fish fry back in the day! Healthy options, & a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

My wife, daughter, sister and grandkids to me there yesterday for my birthday and it was the poorest service I ever experienced. We arrived at 6pm in the place we ordered our drinks and it took the waitress about 20 minutes to come back with them. We quickly ordered our food after that and didn't receive it until about 7:25 that's after being there since 6 o'clock. Some of us needed refills the waitress took forever to bring them back. Even paying the check took long. The place wasn't pack at all so why the poor and slow service?

I was there this past weekend for a birthday party. We had to prepay because it was 30 people. They said it was going to be a buffet. So for a buffet with seafood $25 didn’t seem too much. We each paid $30 to add in a $5 tip. Again we paid this was a week before the party. At the party, we discovered, it was NOT buffet. They brought the shrimp & crawfish pasta, fried fish, and broccoli/ cauliflower out in 3 trays. One person made plates, which took FOREVER! For $25 we got 1 catfish fillet that had been cut in half, a scoop of pasta and a couple of pieces of broccoli and cauliflower. I have gotten way more food at other restaurants only paying $12 - $15, with good service. By the time the last person got a plate the party was basically over and some had begun to leave. A couple of people didn't eat at all - they just left. At one point they ran out of seafood in the seafood pasta and had to grill some more shrimp. No refills on drinks unless you wanted to wait 20 minutes and remind them you’re still waiting on it. It took so long for food service we never sang happy birthday or cut the cake during the party. We were cutting slices for people on their way out, so at least they could eat cake at home. Most of the guest didn't get cake - they had already left. Some of us guest tried to help in serving to make it go faster, but we’re told “ relax I got this”. Food tasted ok, but service and professionalism was terrible.

The description And you said fried tortillas never did it say anything about fried crawfish fried jalapeños and I had a shrimp and I thought those were going to be grilled not fried. Also my queso was not even cheesy it was like a water/milk then I ask for strawberry lemonade and I got strawberry water with sugar with a slice of lemon

I kept hearing great things about the food. And after 3 tries I finally got to eat and was happy with my meal and the price. The first time I went I was with a large group. After 2 hours I had only received the first cocktail I ordered. I had to leave for another engagement so I did not get my second drink nor my meal. The second time I went for lunch and after 25 minutes without being greeted we left so did several other tables. This time we got there 15 minutes after they opened and we were the first. A nice little crowd followed after and several Togo orders. Our drinks and appetizer came out quickly. Then the wait began as we saw others including those placing Togo orders get theirs and go. Finally it was our turn but only one entree came out. I was told mine would be out shortly. Shortly turned into my boyfriend eating nearly his entire meal then mine coming out. In the mean time I saw a couple of tables get up and leave without ever being spoken too. I also noticed at least one other table looking around as orders were delivered to other patrons but not theirs. I hate to see a small business fail but if service doesn't change I fear they will. I enjoyed the music but was a bit loud for a restaurant. I would love to speak to the owner about possible ideas to ensure success.

This place is a hidden gem in Lafayette!! The food was excellent, the waitress provided great service, and the music was the icing on the cake. This restaurant is very clean!! I will back soon!! Thanks for the amazing experience I had at my fist visit here!!
