A few months ago my husband and I went to BJ's in Lafayette, Louisiana for lunch(noonish). Both the waitress and food were great. Yesterday I took my Mom there for a late afternoon lunch(around 3). We were both very disappointed. The waitress was inattentive, put everything(except the entree)on the opposite side of the table from where I was sitting, and then basically ignored us. It was not busy at the time we were there.We both ordered the chicken parm. It came with broccoli and mashed potatoes or spaghetti. We wanted the spaghetti. The potatoes were the best part of the meal. Neither my Mom or I like broccoli and there was a large amount of it on each plate. The chicken wasn't bad, but it had a bit of a strange taste to it, so we only ate about half of it and brought the rest home to feed to the critters.This was the first restaurant I have eaten at that did not give you options about other sides. It is also the first restaurant that, when they have 2 or more types of the same entree (chicken parm with potatoes and chicken parm with spaghetti) that I have not been asked which one I want.If it wasn't for the size of the portions and the ice tea I would have given it one star. Needless to say, we will not be eating here again.

Went yesterday for a bday dinner… food was so good, we went again the next day… bartender knows how to socialize and engage with the customer… but that doesn’t make up for the 5-7 minute wait before being acknowledged… Dude went over to the side to check his phone then went to the back/kitchen for quite some time… then when he took our drink orders he totally forgot to make a drink & water for my boyfriend & I had to remind him because he completely forgot… then at the end he charged an additional drink that we did not have… the bar was not packed out and the restaurant in general was NOT BUSY… Giving four stars for the great customer service at the birthday dinner the night before but I was not happy with the customer service tonight…
Ordered nachos with sour cream and guac on the side. Showed up with it on top and they took it back. They scraped it off and flipped the nachos upside down. Why? We figured it out when the cheese was on the bottom of the chips and there was sour cream and guacamole in the middle at the bottom. The guacamole side also has a Sliced Jalapeño and piece of chicken in it. Ugh. My burger had a stale top Bun that was hard and a mushy oatmeal like consistency on the bottom. The server was nice but you could tell he was having a rough time trying to keep his other tables happy. We saw a few more orders get returned. Such a shame as my wife and I always like the place. Oh yeah got charged twice for the nachos. At least that was corrected... after I paid.
Super cool atmosphere, lots of fun beers to try. The margarita flight is very yum.Our service was incredibly slow. We weren't particularly in a hurry or anything, but slow.
I DoorDashed a pizookie and a Dr Pepper and my driver waited at the restaurant for at least 45 minutes before they told her that one of the staff members refused to make my pizookie? Then I called the restaurant and they told me that it was being made after the cook refused to make it. 30 minutes later DoorDash calls me because they chose to cancel my order. I’m not trying to be that customer but that’s ridiculous. It’s literally soda and a cookie.
Loved it. I was with a party of about 17 with only one waitress and she was flipping amazing! Everything was rung in correctly and brought out in good time! And the bartender ladies are the best!
The food was great, unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our lunch that we ordered from the lunch menu.
Its not the best, honestly. The boneless wings were pretty good but the pizza they have is pretty lackluster. The waiter also decided to stop and complain to us about her personal troubles, and it was pretty awkward. I work in the food industry and I know it can be stressful, but stopping to complain to a customer is a bit odd.
Bj's is a place we would frequently visit but after tonight I dont think we will be back for a while. One of the things we ordered was a pizza, well after we get our food minus the pizza, about 20 minutes later our waitress came to say she forgot to let us know they were out of the size we ordered and if we wanted another size. Well we decided to get the larger size. Fast forward about 30-40 minutes later we finally got it and some of the toppings were thrown on the pizza AFTER it was cooked. Not only this, the toast was burnt on one of our sandwiches and one of the burgers wasnt cooked fully. Spent almost $100 ?
