Italian Pizza

This was the worst Italian food I have ever eaten. The pizza was dry, hardly had any cheese or sauce and the toppings were way over cooked and terrible. My brother-in-law had eggplant parmigiana and bread sticks, as an appetizer, both of which tasted like cardboard. Will never go back!

I've known the owners for a very long time and it's been a while since we ate there but the pieces were absolutely delicious!

As always, delicious! There's no other pizza quite like Alesi's pizza; unchanged since I was a toddler. Nearly 50 years of perfection - that I can remember. I always get a large pepperoni from there. Actually, I get two large pepperoni pizzas because unfortunately, I have to share. Lol.

Timeless classic Italian-American food, the heavy stuff. Pasta with sauces, baked pasta dishes, Italian subs and pizza. Very good service. Probably hasn't changed its style since 1960. In a good way

This used to be the top of the line best pizza one could possibly get. As a 40yr customer, my eyes would light up as a child when I heard the name. The pizza was 100% consistent the first 33yrs of my life. Man...the extra cheese and sauce...wow! The last 7yrs they have messed up my order 98% of the time. They do not give you what you pay for and the quality is horrific. I have said for years, never again, never again. I have never given a place so many opportunities after I said never again. I recommended Alesis to some individuals from out of state, they dined in and said it was the worst experience in Lafayette. My family and I dined in recently but had to leave because employees sat next to us and used profanity while my daughters sat next to them. The whole restaurant had other tables to sit at. Not only that, we were pushed out quickly because they were slow and we came in at 8 when they close at 10. Last night I ordered a pizza under my daughters name because I was afraid they would know it was me, I ordered extra cheese and extra sauce on my pizza (which they charge quite a bit for) and I didn't even get regular cheese and sauce. I got a cracker named pizza. My family as a whole no longer orders there anymore, only me. I'm tired of throwing $$$ in the trash. They do not care anymore, and I am officially finally done. I never imagined writing a review, but this was absolutely necessary. Will is great people.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service!!

The fettuccine Alfredo is the best . I would go just for that

We have been eating here since our college days and continue to enjoy their delicious food and friendly staff. The pizza is top notch (as is everything on the menu). Definitely one of our favorite places to dine.

AFTER 50 YEARS, I’M DISAPPOINTED The crust on my pizza was not thoroughly cooked and the taste was bland. It seems as though it was not the historic hand tossed crust I’ve enjoyed since the 1960’s. The pizza sauce must have been recently changed as it seemed to be weak and watered down. I always get a 10 oz cup of extra sauce so I easily recognize when the sauce and seasoning is different. I’ve been a lifelong fan of Aliesi’s and always recommend it as the best place in town for pizza. Now, I’m disappointed. I seldom go to the restaurant for in-house dining any more but frequently order through Waitr app and this review is the result of delivery on January 22, 2022. If my next pizza is a disappointment, I’ll not order again and chalk it up to ‘changing times’. Christian R.

Dinned in with friends from High School from 1980. Pizza was excellent had the veggie pizza thin crust was crispy and done just right. Absolutely delicious. Our server has been here for 40 years he was exceptional. Thank You ?
