Best airport food I’ve ever had. The blackened shrimp remoulade salad was bomb and so was the bread pudding.
After going through airport security, I noticed this restaurant had a great looking menu. After I was sat, I ordered the cajun shrimp salad with fried green tomatoes. The server also ensured me it was good. When it arrived, it was definitely larger than I expected and so good. The shrimp was juicy and seasoned well, the tomatoes were fried perfectly and dressing/ sauce was so delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone going thru the airport.
Very poor breakfast. We both got the “Country Breakfast” with baked potatoes instead of grits. The eggs were very salty and tasted like they came out of the box. The bacon was rubbery and hard to chew. The potatoes were fairly soggy, and pretty bland. Only the biscuit was decent. I’ve had far better breakfast served for free at motels.
Very good, especially for an airport restaurant. Quick friendly service.Good selection of local foods.Generous proportions.
I took a trip to New Orleans for the first time, and a family member and my Uber driver both said the airport food was good, so I had to give it a try. Leah's Kitchen had a nice menu/good prices/ good drink selection so I choose the Red Beans & Rice which was better than the food I ate on Bourbon street. If you're ever passing through this airport give them a try.
My waiter was very attentive after providing ample time to look at the menu. He then suggested fried chicken with a side of red beans and rice... I said, lets do it. Fantastic recommendation. The chicken was juicy and fresh out of the fryer, the breading was delicious. The red beans and rice were some of the best I've had. Probably the best airport food I've ever had.
The food was so delicious. I will eat here everytime I'm in this airport. I had the crawfish andoule omelet and he had the shrimp and grits and we split the pancakes. So good, filling, but light.
Wow- best breakfast in an airport ever!! Fish and grits. Ahhhmazing!!
Bland and bloody are the best two words to describe my meal. I ate here approximately 9 months ago and the chicken was seasoned very well, but the chicken was not cooked thoroughly. I was advised that they are only allowed to fry the chicken for 15 minutes. Anyone that has ever cooked chicken knows that is not long enough. So today, I thought I would give it another try. Wrong choice the chicken was still not cooked thoroughly. It was bland and the dark meat had a funny taste. I’m done Leah’s Kitchen. I was so disappointed because the last time the chicken tasted better than the chicken at Dooky Chase. Guess I will have to try Emeril’s on my next trip.
Pathetic experience! Food is average and overpriced. The main point is that I ordered white meat fried chicken and they gave me wings, and when I complained the waiter and “manager” wanted to convince me that chicken wings are considered white meat. Finally I paid 50+ dollars for rice and beans and a fried chicken. Now I see why their rating is 3 stars
