Ordered shrimp and grits. I’m a native of New Orleans, so I know what grits and shrimp should look like. I asked for only shrimp. When I opened my plate on the plane, this is what I got? Where are the shrimp?? The plate was full of STIFF GRITS!! The cost of this mess with a coffee? 25.00!! NEVER AGAIN! I went to a place called Triangle and for 10.00, I got a plate full of shrimp and grits. I understand airports charge higher prices, but that plate was horrible. And I had to wait over 20 minutes!

I sat down at the table and ordered from the waiter. I warned the waiter that I would move to another table. 20 minutes later I still haven't received my order. I approached the waiter and heard the reason that since I sat at another table, she did not serve me, and the other waiter was not warned that I moved. After my conversation with the staff and demands to clarify the situation, I was simply asked - "Are you going to order a burger or not"? After some time, the employee was sent to apologize. And so, the restaurant uses the fact that it is in an exclusive position and can provide a service that is convenient for them.
We bought the shrimp and grits and it was bad. There was a picture of the grits on a board in tje airport and it look3d really good. What we got looked nothing like the picture. It was super disappointing. Just got it 10 minutes ago and had to tell others to give this place a miss.
Note: Burgers are cooked WELL DONE ONLY. Plastic forks and knives and limited food and cocktail menu.There was a short wait as this restaurant is in front of several gates.The Emeril burger was delicious with a toated bun and just the right amount of sauce. With the French fries, this makes a heavy lunch.I didn't get a chance to try the three cocktails options including a bloody Mary and a margarita.
Service was non-existent, we had to find the waitress and then she disappeared. Tried to pay but server was down, couldn’t find anyone to pay so we waited 20 minutes. Food was ok but not worth the price. It wasn’t just us, other people never got their drinks and had to inquire about their food. Someone needs to find better waitstaff. One of the worst service we have received in years.
The staff were very kind and the food was awesome. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the pricing. The burger is near $15 and tips are asked for takeout food. I know airport food is generally higher priced but food should be more accessible to the people. I could go to McDonald's and get a huge family meal for that price.
Be patient, no contact service isn't exactly their fault. The shrimp po’boy was perfect - good sized shrimp, freshly and perfectly fried and the bread was perfectly toasted and tender and crumbly as is the NOLA tradition. Best po’boy at MSY. Clarisse the bartender is a class act and goes above and beyond to provide good service.
Very unprofessional start with the host post.I was staying at the host post. No one pays attention to you. Finally after I asked if they are could sit me somewhere. It is a lots of stuff staying and talking for no reason.After I been sited no one tell me to download a app then I don’t waist my time. It is airport no one has be a time. Anyhow I was decided to move to different table and keep waiting to be served. One of the waitresses stopped by and informed me. That I can’t change tables and can’t leave a airport card in the area. If they pay close attention to me from beginning I won’t be relocated my self and leave that card in the restaurant.As soon I was left the restaurant I asked for the manager to talk to. Was been shocked because manager was sitting in the corner on the laptop. Instead of doing something to get in to good customer service.Unprofessional and poor customer customer..very dissatisfied about that stuff..
Emetic’s Table at New Orleans Airport, across from Gate B16, is worth going to the airport early or staying after you arrive! Having Shrimp and Grits for breakfast and this dish is incredible! Best flavor ever. Really spicy and loaded with shrimp. Beverages are fabulous too. I recommend Mexican coffee!
