very quiet, minimal crowds. fresh orders, nice staff not as great as french quarter but everyone has thier own touch.
Cool spot for a quick unique snack. Wish they would capitalize on selling glazed beignets. Don't know why they don't try anything new as for a beignets goes but hey
I can't come to New Orleans without stopping for beignets at Cafe Du Monde, any more than coming to this city and not hearing Jazz. Just having a hot cup of coffee with a plate of these messy goodies makes my trip complete.
Always a good choice, cafe olait and beignets make everything better. Brought the kids and they had fun coating themselves in powdered sugar.
Finally had a "Ben-yea" and "Cafe Olay". (Lol. Since I don't know a word of French I spelled them phonetically.)Benyea was great, so warm and fresh and gooey with all that powdered sugar!I think the Cafe Olay is an acquired taste. It wasn't bad, just different. Chicory in coffee takes some getting used to but I'd definitely try it again.Cafe DuMond was great!
Excellent as always since I was a kid ! For those of u that never been to New Orleans you have to try here when u come to my home city . Beignets was delicious as always
Pretty cool. Coffee was good.
Delicious food as usual but no free refills on ice tea.. tsk tsk.
They friendly young lady there tonight made them exactly how we asked. Much appreciated. Love this place. Thanks!
We loved the beignets! Fantastic, absolutely tasty. Even my picky as anything eight year old declared them superb, after initially saying he didn't want them... Partially because it was a new word for a food type for him.The coffee is decent, very good for most places around here but I'm from Washington state where coffee is pretty much a way of life. I've had much better coffee before, but that much better coffee was from a coffee shack next to a farm that sourced their milk from the cows on that farm with locally roasted coffee beans so as of yet I haven't run into anywhere else that sold that level of quality coffee anyway.I'd put their coffee above PJ's but lower than Starbucks, Tully's or Wood's. I'm not a big fan of Community Coffee, so if you are, you'll probably love the coffee more than I did.
