Ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. This was the poorest excuse I’ve ever experienced for bacon wrapped shrimp. All shrimp were very small and had a small piece of bacon attached to them. The bacon couldn’t be wrapped around the shrimp because it was too small. Extremely disappointed.
We stopped here on our way from New Orleans back home to Monroe, and it was really really good!I had wanted gumbo while exploring down south, and this place had it, and I could even order it alongside a shrimp sandwich which was also delicious.Gumbo was warm and comforting, made me feel like the snowman in that one Campbell's soup commercial they run every holiday season.
I give them 3 because I ordered Two poboys to go and the waiter only place one order. I went back and sat in my truck and realized they only ordered one poboy so I went back and informed them I ordered two. So I got take straight but then about 25 minutes later I get one poboy and have to wait another 20 minutes for the other. The food was good but waiting extra time because a waiter doesn't listen to a place order is bad service.
Would definitely go back. Very delicious.
Food was amazing. Service I can’t say the same about. After self seating and waiting 15 minutes for a waitress (only 2 other parties in the restaurant at this time) I had to get up and get the menus for my party myself. Again, with only two parties in other than mine, we waited an additional 30+ minutes for our food. (Party of 3). If you have time to sit around and wait, highly recommend. Food is good though.
Fast friendly service, had a salad with fried shrimp. It was in an edible bowl, and was the best salad I had in a long time.
Great hamburger steak plate lunch. I have not had green peas that tasted so good since I was a kid.

Food was very poorly prepared, burnt oil taste and very salty. Sweet Potato fries very soggy and burnt oil taste also. Your food is usually good, today you failed drastically. Why not bring it back, we’ll it’s Saturday and I ordered at about 2:20 pm picked up food about 2:35 went home and opened food and was to late you closed at 3:00pm stray cat and birds will have a $$$$ meal today if they can Even eat this disappointing food. Your photos of what you serve are very misleading. Will I be back probably though it will be awhile. Food like what was prepared like this and the money I spent is hard to forget.
This was my favorite restaurant in Houma for a long time and the reason we choose this place for a birthday dinner. Disappointing, the wait staff was inattentive and we had to ask for forks. When the meals were brought, we had to ask again for knives. We had to send back the salad because it was brown and the tomatoes wilted, only to be replaced by more of the same. The once favorite swamp boy platter was a shell of it's former self, a subpar rendition of a once great meal. Sadly, this was not worth the money and I doubt we will be back.
