We had a wonderful lunch here. I had blackened catfish, red beans and rice, and a side salad. The fish was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, tender and terrific.My husband had a meatloaf sandwich and it was very generous, flavorful and just a bit messy. Grab extra napkins because it was so worth it! We got an appetizer sampler with cheesy balls and pot stickers, but the star of the plate were the onion rings. The batter was light and crispy and I'll definitely have them again.The bread pudding was OMG out of this world and the only thing that would have made it better was a scoop of ice cream! Love this hidden gem of a spot ??
Great food and our waiter was awesome. He served the whole restaurant by himself and never missed a beat. Food was a great price and just what you’re looking for if you want that southern comfort feel.
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat ordered the gumbo chicken and sausage and it was excellent everything really is home-cooked or at least it taste like it it's a little small out-of-the-way place but very clean and the food is delicious the service is very good definitely make it a pit stop when going down Manhattan
If you love home cooking, this is the place for you.I've eaten there several times since the 1st to-go hamburger steak dinner was so good. The catfish special came with a cup of seafood gumbo and was very special.
Absolutely amazing restaurant!! I found this after a quick internet search. It’s in a strip mall and doesn’t look like much from the outside. The food was spectacular! My kids had garlic noodles with chicken. I had shrimp and grits and my husband had catfish and gumbo. We ate everything. Service was amazing! We went on a tour afterwards and told everyone about it. Don’t hesitate to go!

This was me and my husband first time at this place and the food was so good. The food wasn’t salty it was seasoned to perfection and that bread pudding with the rum sauce dam! It was delicious and the young man that waited on us know how to treat his customers and keep them coming, it’s a beautiful atmosphere the customers were very friendly and everything was just beautiful, Me and my husband will definitely be returning for some more of that delicious home cooked food. I give Home Cooking Cafe 5 Stars. ❤️?
We had a party of 5 during the lunch hour. Our food was served fast and Hot. Our server, Justin was awesome. Definitely a place for good old home cooking.A place you must try!
Mason was our waiter he was great he recommended the shrimp and grits which was phenomenal would recommend to everyone 10/10 I will be back
I absolutely love their shrimp stew and fried fish. And baby don’t talk about the tossed salad… ???
