We have entertained family members, no less than several times. Breakfast ñ dinner was always perfect. Fast professional attention by several servers, all of which were stunning. My rare filet was perfect! Ellen’s crab cakes were also perfect! When you visit, share your perfect dinner from friends ñ family. You will certainly be impressed immediately!
Restaurant is beautifully styled and clean. Brunch was delicious and portions were a nice size. Our waiter, Reese, was personable and very quick to keep our drinks filled. Service and food was excellent. We’ll definitely be back again!
WOW!!! (But maybe it was just a bad weekend.) From the overpriced steak to the over priced hamburgers… (Which where all served COLD.) I was not impressed.• A better choice would have easily been Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steakhouse for a quality meal and good time at HALF THE PRICE!!! or… Spend the same money and go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The wait was ridicules…. Several groups waited over an hour for their food… only to eventually “call-it”….. get up and leave. The servers were great and working hard… but spent the night running around from table to table putting out “fires” with customers because they couldn’t get anything out of the kitchen. (I gave the additional star for the server’s effort because they are just trying to make a living.)One Thirteen’s inflated prices that comes with the “Reservations Only” attitude is not supported by the quality of the meal or even the experience. Now in their defense, I hear they are under new management and that they are trying to work out the kinks. (The new manager is nice, and did make the effort to comp a steak which was appreciated but I don’t see my money being spent there ever again.)If you do choose to give it a try, please update us because I am in hopes that they can right-the-ship and become a reflection of their original vision. The only reason I gave a review is because after spending around $300 for dinner, I felt the 4-5 stars on here is not an accurate reflection of what the consumer will receive. It’s only fair.
Half of the menu items were unavailable. Staff had no knowledge of the restaurant or even how to do their jobs. Sat for an hour before receiving drinks, an hour and a half before bread. 2 hours later..... they hadn't even started prepping the food order for my table. The hostess nor the waiter even bothered to give a "heads up" regarding how far behind the kitchen staff was running. The waiter was not aware of what foods the restaurant was sold out of so some of us had to order 2-3 times only to not end up eating at all. The experience was like something that I would see in a comedy.
If I could give zero or negative as a score they would get it. 45 minutes for cold french toast ordered as an appetizer. Bear in mind they were on a limited menu and were out of some basic appetizers. The Wrong soup brought out twice. Appetizer plates were removed when the next round of French toast was brought out (only to a minimum warm temp this time). We literally ate the French toast with our hands. Looks like the average entree wait was about two hours. I really really really hate writing a negative review. Couldn't even rate the entrees because we left after 1 hour 15 minutes, as we did not know how long it would take. We paid what we owed and still tipped the waiter 25% because we felt bad for him. I say this as a level 5 writer on TripAdvisor and someone that worked in the restaurant industry for 24 years including serving as a head waiter at a 5-star restaurant. If I can offer one helpful hint to this restaurant..... Try ONLY seating the amount of tables you can serve. I tried to work this out but the staff was clearly frustrated. This falls squarely on the manager/owner. Today was set up to fail by not having the right approach to managing the amount of customers they let in the door versus what they could serve properly. I hope the ownership gives something extra to the staff in this restaurant as pay because they sure endured way more than was necessary from a poorly managed operation.
The food is top quality here. We sat outside which was a really nice atmosphere. We ate on a Tuesday so no trouble getting a table. The menu is a little deceptive as I had to order a protein which wasn't mentioned on the menu. My wife nearly ordered the fire oven grilled chicken which didn't come with anything else unless you ordered a side, the menu didn't say anything about this. That said, the pork chops and beef tips were amazing! No complaints, just felt stupid when ordering.
Service was terrible. Our servers humor was disrespectful. We expected a fun night out of somewhat fine dining and received the exact opposite. None of the drinks or entrees were brought out together. Took 2 hours for a salad to be made.
Good food but food options vary… limited vegetarian options. Service is horrible and slow, and employees are not trained well. Atmosphere is nice and clean. Got to the restaurant at 6 pm and didn’t leave til around 9 pm (I was with a big group but we all had our orders and money prepared for the waiter quickly).
Restaurant was really nice. Good atmosphere...great background music. Nice selection of food and appetizers. Good wine selection reasonably prices. Wait staff knowledgeable of all menu items. Only reason for 4 stars.....presentation was superb for all dishes we ordered. I would have liked larger portions. You can have nice presentation and larger portions also. All in all a nice dining experience.
I can not recommend one thirteen enough!Tonight was incredible. We celebrated 2 birthdays and it will be a night our entire table will remember forever! From start to finish, Orlando went above and beyond to make our experience a 5 start event. Tae was our server and he literally blew our minds with his service. His recommendations were so enjoyable and his interaction with the table was memorable!! We will be back very soon because of Tae & Orlando. This gem is now our favorite restaurant in town.Side note: the atmosphere has major vibes. Be ready for photo ops. ?
