Long time watcher of this restaurant, and we finally had the opportunity to try them. I wish we wouldn't have waited so long! . Can't wait to try some of their other items! We order d the Kingdom burger, a thick flavorful homemade burger on an amazing sourdough bun - big enough for two meals. The DJ fries were amazing, drenched with sauce and shrimp, a serving large enough to be a meal unto itself. They don't skimp on anything. Saved the banana pudding for later and it hit the spot. We definitely can't wait to go back. It has been two days and I've already told a dozen people to make the drive to Pumpkin Center for amazing food!
Great place for lunch. Food was great and prices were even better. Had red beans and rice special. The candied yams are a must!! Service was on point. Plenty of parking. Looking forward to going back.
Everything I’ve ordered from this place is delicious.I had honey hot wings ,crawfish bread, lemonade, and banana pudding.Definitely recommend this place!

Can't praise this place enough. Traveling back to Texas from Florida and saw this place was highly reviewed, and for good reason. Food was exceptional, people are friendly, and you get to support a family owned and ran business as well. Only a mile or so from the interstate. Definitely worth stopping by if you're traveling through.

I took an unexpected detour and found Johnson’s. I’ve never felt more welcome at a lunch spot. The food was fresh and homemade. Best crawfish rolls I’ve ever had. Will make a special trip for another meal here.
Wonderful food. My wife has followed this place on Facebook since they were cooking in their home. Food always looked good and we finally made it out here to give it a try. We were not disappointed and we will be back. We had the fried catfish with crawfish bread and the kingdom burger. I could eat my weight in that crawfish bread! Even while we were enjoying our meals, the owner came by to check on us and the food. That’s good service and the benefit of a small business owner!(Disclaimer: the fried catfish didn’t come out with a bite taken out of it. I just couldn't wait for my wife to take a picture.?)
