Good food, great atmosphere at a decent price.
Everything was excellent. The drink prices are pretty high, but we had a great time.
Excellent food and our waitress was very attentive. I would definitely make this a regular eating establishment if it were closer to home. If I travel through Hammond again I will definitely stop.
Our waitress Kylie, was excellent . She was very knowledgeable of the menu, she was quick ,very accommodating. We didn’t have to ask for anything. Our food was hot and delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Definitely worth the 6 hour drive from Memphis. Will definitely be back, again!!!!!!
Great find for us traveling from Venice, LA back home to Memphis. It had a comfortable atmosphere with good service. Hostess and waitress all very pleasant. Had a difficult time deciding what to eat they had so many great sounding dishes. Definitely recommend the charbroiled oysters! Insane. Apparently the crawfish were good although I personally ate the grilled salmon which wasn't what I actually expected because I didn't read the menu. But it was very good. If you get a chance. Should check them out for sure.
The only thing about this meal was the toast that came out before the meal. I felt as if years of tradition was put into the hands of teenage college students that couldn't care less.I had the seafood platter with a cup of gumbo. I liked nothing, zero.My spouse had shrimp and catfish and wanted to substitute the coleslaw for fries so of course, she got the coleslaw. All in all, 2 courses between us, one cheap margarita, $83.Eighty-three dollars.Pass, Don's. You just aren't worth it.
This was a nice place to eat with the family after visiting the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival. The oysters are the a must try! I would visit if I was back in town!
Service was exceptional from the moment we arrived. All the staff we met were polite, well groomed, upbeat, knowledgeable, and professional. The chargrilled oysters appetizer were perfectly cooked with a surprising cheese topping that kept the oysters moist but not sloppy. Easily enough for much more than a single meal, the seafood platter turned out to be a bargain. Altogether dining here was a pleasure that will soon be repeated.
Went here on a Tuesday around 5:00. We were seated right away. Our waiter Garrett was very friendly and attentive. After getting our drinks, great draft beer in a frosted mug. We started with a order of char broiled oysters. They were plump and juicy, yummy! My lady had grilled stuffed shrimp and I had the seafood combo. Both dishes were very good. If you are in the area stop in you wouldn’t be disappointed.
My wife and I treated our elderly lady friend to celebrate her birthday. Kelsie, our waitress was very attentive and courteous. She served our birthday friend’s bread pudding dessert and made it complimentary. Food was served hot, delicious and delivered in a very timely manner. We all really enjoyed our dining experience at Don’s.
